Monica Yennal Tongdak is a fried-chicken shop down a residential lane in Jeju City's Yeondong, about ten minutes by car from the airport. Many posts stop by on their first or last day of a trip, while just as many describe it as a shop locals keep ordering from by phone. Its signature is chili-and-vegetable fried chicken, batter and all, most often ordered half-and-half with plain or seasoned. The posts we read run from December 2025 to September 2026.

Parking

2 posts say you can park; 4 say you cannot. We leave the disagreement standing rather than picking a side.

There is no dedicated lot. Counting only posts that describe an actual attempt to park, six do — four found the alley parking difficult (one drove in a circle), two managed it or saw several spots nearby. Several more posts print "no parking" as a header-block line only, with no account of trying, so we did not count those.

Getting inside

No post mentions wheelchair access, a stroller, a step, or a ramp. We leave this as unknown — getting it wrong would send someone away at the door.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 24 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

When the posts appeared

What we do not know

• Posts disagree on how spicy it is. Four say it is mild — "not actually spicy despite the name," "about like Shin Ramyun" — while one flatly says it is very spicy (24158, a family visit). The chili amount may simply vary batch to batch, but we could not confirm that.
• Most posts report no wait at all. Three say so explicitly; only one, visiting on a holiday-season evening, found the place full with people waiting — the same post found it quiet at 5pm on another visit. One post notes that any queue is walk-in only; there is no remote waitlist.
• The shop has relocated once. A ten-year regular writes that it used to be a shabbier place in central Yeondong before moving to its current spot, adding that they don't know exactly when. The other twenty-eight posts know only the current address.
• Not one post mentions a toilet, wheelchair access, or public transit. It appears in none of the twenty-nine — that means nobody wrote about it, not that it is absent.
• Not one post mentions a toilet — inside the shop or shared with the building — in any of the twenty-nine.
• No post independently observes what floor it is on. "1st floor" appears in most check-in address lines, but that is the widget's address label, not something a writer noticed themselves, so we did not count it.
• Almost no post says who they came with. One describes a group of flight-crew colleagues (24146); we found none that specify family, a partner, or coming alone.
• No post describes getting there by public transit. Everyone arrives by taxi, rental car, or on foot from a nearby hotel; nobody mentions a bus or any transit line — consistent with a spot ten minutes by car from the airport.
• One post's hours differ from the rest. Of fifteen posts that give hours, fourteen agree on 4pm–11pm, closed Tuesdays; one (August 2026) says 4pm to midnight. We could not tell whether that was a typo or a night the shop genuinely stayed open later.
