Seongsim Jorim is a fish-braise and grill house at Singwang-ro 8 in Yeon-dong, Jeju City, five to ten minutes by car from the airport. Cutlassfish, mackerel or mixed braises cost 15,000 won per person (rice 1,000 won extra) and arrive under a heap of chopped garlic. The whole grilled cutlassfish is 40,000 won, and ordering it with a braise gets a small plate of boiled pork for 100 won. One table of four paid about 89,000 won for three braise portions, the grilled fish and the pork; a couple paid 32,000 won for a two-person mixed braise. Basic side dishes come to the table; soup and refills are self-serve. What sets it apart
- Expect a wait at mealtimes. Six posts waited: 30 minutes at dinner, 15-20 minutes at noon on a Saturday, 20-30 minutes at a weekend lunch, a queue already at 11:30 on a Saturday, a weekday lunch busy enough to need one, and a short wait that moved quickly. Three walked straight in: around 3 pm on a weekday, about 11 am, and one dinner where five minutes later would have meant a line. One writer put a name and phone number down at the counter and sat on the waiting chairs inside.
- Six posts say braises start at two portions; one writer regretted that a single portion could not be ordered. One solo traveller, however, says she ate a single portion and took the rest away. Whether one portion is allowed is disputed, so ask ahead if you are eating alone.

Nobody describes which floor the dining room is on or whether there are stairs; only the address says ground floor. That means we do not know, not that there are none.
No post says whether there is a step at the entrance or whether anyone came in with a wheelchair or stroller; one only remarks that the tables looked far enough apart to park a stroller. We do not know.
One post says the toilet is inside the restaurant. Nobody says whether it is separated by gender or how big it is.

What we do not know
- Seven posts share one template: the same order line down to the commas, a pasted Naver review-count widget and the same 'good for parents, dates and groups' phrasing. None discloses sponsorship, but we treat them as commissioned and counted only what they observed directly.
- No one arrived by bus. The 'five minutes' walk from the Sammu Park stop' line is copied from the restaurant's own listing. One couple walked over from their lodging.
- Opening hours appear the same in 24 posts: daily 10:00-22:00, break 16:00-17:00, last order 21:00, almost always copied from the listing. No post mentions a closing day. One writer saw the place shut early after selling out at a weekend lunch in late August 2026.
- The 15,000-won braise and 40,000-won grilled cutlassfish are the same in every post from August to October. Most say the 100-won pork needs both a braise and the whole grilled fish; one says any grill order got it free, so check when ordering. Seven posts call the prices reasonable.
- Many posts copy the phone number 0507-1425-1192. The only word on reservations is the listing's 'reservations and groups welcome'; no one says they booked.
