HWAMOKWON
화목원 Hwamogwon Hwamok can be read as 'harmony' or as 'flowers and trees', and won means garden; the posts do not say which characters the house uses.

A Jeju local-food set-meal house at 41 Yeonhwanam-gil, Yeon-dong, about ten minutes' drive from the airport by three accounts. The basic set is 18,000 won per person, 25,000 with braised hairtail, the local family course 35,000, and the pre-wedding course 60,000; you order per head and the table fills with side dishes, dombe pork, grilled fish and stone-pot rice. An annex for weddings and banquets, a lawn garden and a cafe sit beside the main hall, so families and tour groups are common. We read 23 posts from April to October 2026; 16 describe an actual meal. Two were about a different Hwamokwon, the provincial arboretum in Chuncheon, and were set aside.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Of those who said who they came with, six came with family, five with a work or study group, and one with friends. Two of the family visits were pre-wedding meetings of the two families.
- Three posts used a private room. A family with a 20-month-old was shown to one with a high chair; another enjoyed flowers outside the room's window. But a party of six at a pre-wedding meal found their room cramped, with almost no space behind the chairs.
- Four posts said the seasoning was mild, about both the side dishes and the braised hairtail. None called it salty.
- Three posts said the dombe pork had no off smell; one praised its balance of lean and fat.
3 more
- Two posts found the stone-pot rice portion small. Separately, one post found a three-person mushroom bulgogi hotpot larger than expected.
- Three posts came with children (20 months, 26 months, first grade). The parent of the 26-month-old says the child ate the grilled fish and japchae well but spat out the carrot porridge served first.
- Two posts saw celebrity mementos themselves: framed photos of footballer Son Heung-min and golfer Pak Se-ri by the entrance, Son's captioned as the day he entered Marine Corps training in April 2020.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
No post describes which floor the dining rooms are on or whether there are stairs; only the address says ground floor.
Nobody wrote about the entrance step or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. One post includes 'wheelchair accessible', but it is copied from the listing, so we do not count it.
Nobody described the restrooms; the one mention of separate men's and women's toilets is copied from the listing.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 20 posts we gathered, 5 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
| 2026-09-17 | 2 posts in one day |

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Two posts found the staff friendly; one disagreed, saying servers left dishes at the near edge of a cramped room without a word, so the elders had to keep shifting.
- No one wrote about arriving by bus. One post gives directions from the Namjosunoreum stop, about 300 m on foot, but not from experience; those who visited drove.
- Nobody mentioned waiting for a table, which means no one wrote about it, not that there is no wait. One pre-wedding party booked by phone a month ahead, and another post saw many tables reserved for groups.
- Four posts give opening hours of 11:00 to 21:00 with a 15:00 to 16:00 break, last order at 19:30, and no closing day, but all are copied from listings, and one advises checking because sources differ.
- Two phone numbers appear, each in two posts: 064-748-0023 and 0507-1380-0031. Two posts arranged private-room bookings by phone.
- Prices did not differ between posts from April to October 2026. One post heard by phone that the pre-wedding course comes in 60,000 and 80,000 won tiers, and the feast table's price is written as '75,00 won', so we cannot confirm it. A meal starts at 18,000 won per person for the basic set.
- Two posts from the same travel agency use one template to pitch Hwamokwon as a school-trip lunch stop; neither records a meal, so we did not count them.
