Dolgyeok Hanu
돌격한우 Dolgyeok means 'charge!' as in a battlefield assault, and hanu is Korean native beef; two posts relay that the owner's motto through hard times was 'let's charge' (dolgyeok-haja).

A ground-floor hanu (Korean beef) charcoal grill on a side street off Nuwemaru Street in Yeon-dong, Jeju City. You order 1++ beef by the 100 g and grill it yourself over charcoal at the table: brisket point 22,000 won, garlic-marinated or plain rib finger 27,000, the daily special cut 32,000, plus Jeju black-pork neck at 22,000 for 180 g. The first order must total at least 300 g, so posts report 66,000–86,000 won for the meat alone. Brisket seaweed soup comes free with the meat, and carrot juice is handed out at the end. We read 30 posts dated 9 September to 20 October 2026; 4 were about other places and were set aside, and all 26 that remain describe actual visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- The first order must total 300 g. Nine posts mention it; couples got around it by ordering three different 100 g cuts, or three portions of brisket point. One family paid 80,000 won for three brisket portions, a bowl of jjajang noodles and four rice bowls.
- Fifteen posts mention getting refills. Mostly it is the seaweed soup — one writer had it refilled three times — but several also had the side dishes topped up, such as the dressed lettuce, kimchi or cucumber, sometimes twice.
- Fourteen posts got a free cup of Gujwa carrot juice after the meal, poured at the counter or handed over in a takeaway cup. Two say you have to ask staff for it, so it is easy to miss.
- Two posts waited and two did not. One joined the CatchTable queue at 8:10 pm on a Wednesday and got in after about 30 minutes; another found teams already waiting outside around 7:30 on a weekday. Two others walked straight in at dinner, one noting the room was nearly full. Three posts booked ahead and were seated at once.

- Six posts say you can watch the meat being trimmed — through a glass-walled kitchen, or by the owner cutting beef near the entrance.

Parking
9 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Nine posts parked at the lot in front of or beside the restaurant, or found parking easy; two put its size at about four or four to five cars. Two others were less positive: one found it full and used the Sinjeju public car park nearby, another said the lot is small.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 1 (of 25 posts read) |
|---|---|
| Toilet inside | 1 of 25 posts |
| Separate restrooms | 1 of 25 posts |
Only one post mentions the floor, saying the restaurant is on the ground floor of the building. No post mentions a basement or upstairs seating.
We don't know whether the entrance has a step or whether a wheelchair or pushchair can get in — not because there is a problem, but because no post says. One post only mentions a slight uphill walk to the door.
Only two posts describe the toilet: one says it is inside the restaurant, the other that it is gender-separated and was clean. The same detail appears in copied info blocks in other posts, which we did not count.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- Mostly you grill yourself. Two posts say staff did it — one only for the first round, the other for nearly all of the meal. Others mention staff showing the sauce combinations or dousing the charcoal when the flames got too high; several warn the fire is strong enough to scorch the meat quickly.
- Five posts came with children and three saw or used a high chair; one describes a low floor-style seat that sits beside the sofa bench. Three came as a couple.
- No post describes getting there by bus or on foot. Nearly all say it is ten minutes by car from Jeju Airport, and writers came by rental car or taxi.
- Opening hours appear in 21 posts, almost all in copied info blocks: noon to 11 pm with a 3–5 pm break, last order 9:50 pm in 18 of them (eight also give 2:10 pm for lunch). One post gives last order as 10:50 pm and one says it closes every Tuesday, while fifteen say it opens daily — call before a Tuesday visit.
- Prices were the same in every post from September and October 2026. One post lists brisket at 27,000 and another the special cut at 27,000, but every other post and the menu photos say 22,000 and 32,000, so we treat those as typos. For two people, the 300 g minimum comes to 66,000–86,000 won in meat, around 80,000 with noodles and rice.
- Several posts give the same phone number, 0507-1444-5330. Three booked ahead, and others used CatchTable's remote queue.
- Two posts say corkage is free, based on the menu and in-store notices, and two more repeat it in copied info blocks. No post actually brought its own bottle, so we did not count it.
- Twenty-eight of the 30 posts appeared in the eleven days from 10 to 20 October 2026, and most tell the same story in the same order: the stone-grandfather figurine on the plate, the sauce combinations, the seaweed soup, the carrot juice. Only one discloses sponsorship, but promotional posts may be in the mix. Claims that the YouTuber Tzuyang visited, that the restaurant was set up by Jejudo Galbi, and that it dry-ages whole rib sections come from the restaurant itself, and we did not use them as evidence.
