Jeju Ildo

제주일도 Ildo is written 1do, 'one degree' — the house says it ages its Jeju black pork at 1°C.

Compiled from 12 blog posts read in fullSources →

Jeju Ildo's Seongsan branch, at 107 Sinyang-ro near Seopjikoji and Phoenix Island, is a black-pork barbecue house: you order aged pork by the set and staff grill it over charcoal, with kimchi stew, steamed egg and cactus-pink cold noodles on the side. Listed prices are 60,000 won for the two-person lunch modakchigi set and 98,000 won for the four-person thick-cut set; one group with two babies paid about 140,000 won. Three posts were picked up from Phoenix Island in the restaurant's car and driven back. We read 17 posts from June 10 to October 27, 2026; 13 describe an actual visit, the other four are listicles and write-ups.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. You don't grill your own meat. Nine of the 13 visit posts say staff cooked it for them, start to finish; families with small children singled this out as the reason they could relax.
  2. Extra side dishes and lettuce come from a self-serve bar; four posts mention it. The descriptions of the four signature sauces repeat the restaurant's own copy across several posts, so we don't treat them as evidence.
  3. Leaving a Naver receipt review earns a freebie; three posts mention it — one got kimchi stew, another a box of Jeju hallabong or green-tea crunch snacks.
  4. Families wrote the most — six posts, against two couples and two groups of friends. Two posts saw high chairs, and one found a kids' colouring kit listed on the menu.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 1 (of 12 posts read)
Step at the entrance1 of 12 posts

We don't know if it's wheelchair or stroller accessible. One post climbed stairs from the parking area up into the restaurant and no one mentions a lift; a 'wheelchair OK' line appears only in one copied info block.

No post says where the toilets are or whether they're separate; that's unknown, not absent.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 16 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • We can't say for sure whether there's a dinner queue. Two posts walked straight in (around 7:30 pm, and on a Friday evening), but both added that tables filled soon after or that there had been a wait earlier; another said a little later and they'd have queued outside.
  • No one arrived by bus. One post copies directions via bus 295 to the Seopjikoji stop; the visitors themselves drove or used the restaurant's pickup.
  • Prices rose over summer 2026: June–July posts list the modakchigi set at 60,000 won, the truffle set at 63,000 and kimchi stew at 8,000; from late August they read 62,000, 65,000 and 9,000. Only one post gives a total bill — about 140,000 won for several adults and two babies.
  • All opening hours are copied, not observed. Four posts give 11 am–11 pm with last orders at 10; one says it opens at noon and one says it's closed on Sundays, so check before a Sunday visit.
  • Three posts give the phone number as 0507-1378-1568; one listicle has a different one. Pickup has to be booked by phone in advance — one family called and the car arrived within ten minutes.
  • One post dissents: compared with another barbecue place on the same trip, it called this one merely a decent Seoul-level barbecue house and noted it is a franchise.
  • Only one post covers bringing your own drink: they phoned ahead and were told to bring their Udo makgeolli, but the writer stresses that was a one-off permission and to ask first.
