Horim Sikdang is a fish-braise restaurant on two floors at 45 Buduro, beside Seogwipo harbour. It sells hairtail and gaekjuri (filefish) braises in small, medium and large, listed at 50,000, 60,000 and 70,000 won; Jeju-style cold raw-fish soup in doenjang broth is 15,000 won, and a live monkfish course (sashimi, shabu-shabu, braise) is 120,000 won. We read 30 posts from May 2025 to October 2026, 25 of them written by people who ate there; 10 of those had the hairtail braise and 9 the filefish braise. Posts describe a renovation in 2026, and one post revisiting a 2017 meal says the restaurant had just moved here then.

What sets it apart
- Seven posts say the fish did not taste fishy, and none say it did. Two had read other reviews complaining of a fishy smell and noted they did not find it.
- Five posts describe thick pieces of fish, one comparing a single piece of hairtail to a palm. Five also call the portions generous: a medium hairtail braise fed three men, a large filefish braise was put at four to five adults, and the monkfish course at four.

Parking is behind the building. Nine posts parked in or looked at the private lot out back, and three called it roomy — unpaved but large. One warns that you reach it down a single lane and the entrance is easy to confuse with a hotel car park; another says the street in front is tight.

The restaurant uses two floors. An August 2026 post ate upstairs because the ground floor was under construction; an October post moved upstairs because the ground floor was noisy. Nobody says whether the upper floor is reached by stairs or a lift.
No post says whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or pushchair can get in. That means we don't know, not that it is impossible.

What we do not know
- Spice is split: three posts call the sauce spicy, two say it is not too hot, and one describes a sweet-spicy smell yet says the sauce is not hot. One post says you can ask for it milder.
- No post describes actually queuing. A March 2026 weekend visit around noon and an October 2026 visit both walked straight in; one post says lunch often has a line and suggests going before 11:30 or after 5 pm.
- Service is mixed: two posts found the staff kind (a warm greeting, a bowl of ice brought for a lukewarm beer), and one found them a little unfriendly.
- On price, four posts found it cheap compared with elsewhere or worth the money, while one thought it a bit pricey but justified by the portions. Braise prices are the same from a June 2025 listing to August 2026 posts; nothing later gives prices. Rice is ordered separately.
- One post revisiting an October 2017 meal says the restaurant had newly moved in; it does not say from where, and every other post is about the current site. A January 2026 post thought it had been renovated, and an August 2026 post found the renovation done but the ground floor still under construction.
- Every post that lists opening hours copies the same 10:00 to 22:00 from the restaurant's listing rather than checking it. Posts up to March 2026 say open daily; eight posts from August 2026 on say it closes on the first and third Monday of each month. No post gives a break time or last order.
- Many posts give the same phone number, 064-732-8184. One post booked ahead and another says reservations are taken; one advises calling first because live-fish dishes such as slipper lobster and mackerel sashimi sell out depending on the day's catch.
- None of the visitors say they came by bus. One listing post copies a line about a three-minute walk from the Seogwipo Port stop, but it was not written from a visit; visitors drove or walked from nearby hotels.
