Cafe

Seuwolling Keopi

스월링커피 Seuwolling is the English word 'swirling' written in Hangul, so the name simply reads 'Swirling Coffee'; the posts give no further story behind it.

Compiled from 6 blog posts read in fullSources →

Swirling Coffee is a second-floor cafe on Cheonjeyeon-ro in Saekdal-dong, Seogwipo, across from Yeomiji Botanical Garden. Floor-to-ceiling windows look out on a bamboo grove and the Jungmun sea, there are beanbags and sofas, and dogs are allowed. Posts mostly ordered hand-drip coffee, matcha drinks, and desserts such as black-sesame terrine and chestnut cheesecake. We read 7 posts dated July 21 to October 25, 2026; 6 describe an actual visit. Two say the place used to be a cafe called Koukoala before it was renamed and refitted.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Four posts mention the big windows: glass on every side with the bamboo grove right outside. Several pitch it as a rainy-day cafe, and one says the high ground gives a view of the Jungmun sea.
  2. Three posts brought dogs. The July post lay on a beanbag with three dogs, and the August post said dogs can be let out freely. The September post said dogs must be held or kept in a carrier, and that the owner brought a dog blanket. We can't tell from the posts whether the rule changed or the writers simply saw it differently.

Posts saying you can park2 of 6 posts

Two posts parked there themselves: one found plenty of space in front of the building but a narrow access road, and the other said the lot to the left of the building is free.

Getting inside

Second floor3 of 6 posts
Lift to the flooryes 0 · no 1 (of 6 posts read)

Three posts place the cafe on the second floor; one walked up to order, another took the stairs. One warns there is no elevator, so take care when visiting with small children or older people.

No post says anything about a step at the entrance or wheelchair or stroller access. That means we don't know, not that there is none. One post notes there is no elevator.

Only one post mentions the toilets, saying there was just a men's room on the ground floor. We don't know whether there is one on the cafe's floor or where the women's room is.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 7 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Accounts of the noise level are split. Two posts found it quiet; one said a group of four or five young customers was loud and spoiled the visit.
  • No post describes getting there by bus; the only directions given are for driving.
  • No post mentions waiting in line. One couldn't get a beanbag because they were taken the whole time; another said the place was empty and quiet.
  • Few posts say who they went with: one went with a friend, one came by car, and the rest mention only their dogs.
  • Four posts give the same opening hours, 11:00 to 19:00 and closed Thursdays, but all four copied them into an info block. Only one gives a last order of 18:00, and one lists the days as Tuesday to Sunday, which doesn't square with a Thursday closure.
  • No post gives a single price in won. One says it was on the pricey side and the dessert portion seemed small, so we can't say what a visit costs.
  • Two posts copied the phone number 0507-1445-8150. None says whether reservations are taken.
  • Two posts say this used to be a cafe called Koukoala. The renaming happened before any of the posts we read, and both writers report it secondhand.
