DACAPO

다카포 Dakapo Da capo is the Italian musical direction 'from the beginning' — play the piece again from the top.

Compiled from 25 blog posts read in fullSources →

Dakapo is a two-storey brunch café beside Pyoseon Beach in Seogwipo, with a lawn, a small pool and a sandpit out front. What visitors ordered: Jeju octopus cream pasta (22,800 won), squid-ink risotto (19,000 won) and a black-pork cutlet (12,000–13,000 won); coffee and beer are also sold. Several posts say you order at the counter and eat on the ground floor. We read 30 posts dated 30 April to 30 September 2026; 27 describe an actual visit (one of them a July 2025 trip written up later). One post was about a different business and two only introduce the place.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Eighteen of the 27 visit posts mention the house dog, a golden retriever three posts name as Cookie. Two posts saw two dogs, one said the puppy was up for adoption, and one noted the big dog didn't seem to be allowed indoors.
  2. Eleven posts came with children. Six saw high chairs, five found children's books upstairs and two found floor seating there. Some received toddler tableware, and two were told the pasta could be made non-spicy for a child.
  3. Ten posts found the portions large: the cutlet was described as more than twice the size of a hand and as coming in two pieces, and one solo diner couldn't finish a pasta.
  4. Four posts found the squid-ink risotto or the pasta spicy. Three said the heat can be adjusted, but since they were told this rather than trying it, we did not count it.

  1. Five posts called the prices fair or easy on the wallet; none called them expensive. One compared the octopus pasta to 30,000–40,000 won versions in Seoul. A receipt-backed post paid with Jeju's Tamna local currency, and another got a free drink for leaving a review.

The most ordered dish is Hallasan wangdonkkaseu (한라산 왕돈까스 · 흑돼지 수제돈까스) — 14 of 25 posts.

The prices here are what bloggers wrote down in their posts, and they may have changed since. Check Naver Place for the current menu and prices. This list is not a menu board — it counts what bloggers actually ordered and ate. Check on Naver Place

Parking

13 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park13 of 25 posts

Thirteen posts parked on site or found parking easy, but the capacity varies by account: three or four cars, five or six, or close to twenty; one post expected you'd often have to park on the street. Two posts said there are spaces in front and on both sides.

Getting inside

Second floor17 of 25 posts
Step-free access1 of 25 posts
Toilet inside1 of 25 posts

Seventeen posts describe the upper floor. Four say meals are served only downstairs and the upper floor is for drinks. Two found part of it closed; one of those remembered eating dinner upstairs on an earlier visit.

No post says which level you enter on. One mentions climbing stairs to the upper floor; none mentions a lift.

One post wheeled a stroller in and found it easy to move around. Nobody mentioned steps or a threshold at the entrance or wheelchair access — that means we don't know, not that there are none.

One post says the toilet is inside the building and roomy, and two more found it clean. Nobody said whether it is separated by gender.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 27 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • The cutlet's price changed: April–May 2026 posts list 13,000 won, while a July post found it at 12,000 won and was told the portion had been reduced. Three posts give 22,800 won for the octopus pasta; one gives 22,000.
  • Four posts describe a high ceiling; one said the ceiling is actually low.
  • Opening hours are mostly copied from listings: 11:00–21:00 in 16 posts and 11:00–22:00 in one, closed Mondays in 17. Two posts give a 14:30–17:00 break and one says there is none. Several list meal orders as 11:00–14:30 and 17:00–20:00, so it looks as if only the kitchen pauses in between while the café stays open. No post gives a last-order time.
  • No post arrived by bus; almost everyone drove. Two posts say it is a five-minute walk from Pyoseon Beach.
  • No post reports waiting. One said it was full after 12:30, another found the window seats already taken, and one arrived at opening time and was the first customer.
  • Copied listings disagree on pets: one says no pets inside or out, another says pets are welcome. No post brought a dog.
  • More than ten posts give the same phone number, 064-787-1600. 'Reservations and takeaway available' appears only in a copied listing; no post says they booked ahead.
  • One post discloses partial sponsorship of the meal, five say they paid themselves, and the rest say nothing. A few read like promotional copy, but we found no shared template, so they were counted as written.
