도라지식당 Doraji is the Korean bellflower (balloon-flower) root; a story board at the restaurant ties the name to the Doraji-ho, the Jeju–Busan passenger ferry that began service in 1963.

A braised-hairtail restaurant at 128 Yeonsam-ro, Jeju City, five to ten minutes' drive from the airport. Most posts order the Doraji hansang for two (80,000 won), a spread of braised hairtail, dombe pork, grilled squid, cold squid soup and sea-urchin seaweed soup; others order the hairtail or cold soups à la carte. We read 30 posts from January 2025 to October 2026: 3 were about other businesses, 2 only listed the place, and 25 describe a visit. Many stopped in on the day they picked up or returned a rental car; seven went with family and seven with friends.

What sets it apart
- Six posts say there was no gamey or fishy smell, about the dombe pork (thick yet tender) and the clear hairtail soup alike. None reported an off smell.
- The sauce looks red but most say it is mild: four posts say it is not hot, two call it spicy. Five say the seasoning is not salty.
- You need not order one set per person: one post says four of them ordered the deluxe set for three plus extra rice and were told that was fine. That post disclosed sponsorship.

No post says which floor the dining room is on or whether there are stairs; the '1F' in the address is only the registered address.
We do not know whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. Two posts came with children but said nothing about the entrance. That is an absence of reports, not a finding.
Two posts (January 2025, May 2026) say the restrooms are inside and separated by sex.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 25 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Prices have risen. The October 2025 menu (as transcribed in a sponsored post) had grilled hairtail at 25,000 won, cold squid soup 15,000, damselfish cold soup 15,000 and a medium braised hairtail 65,000; posts from May to August 2026 give 29,000, 18,000, 17,000 and 69,000. The Doraji set for two stayed at 80,000. Four posts call it expensive, one calls it good value. Sharing the set comes to about 40,000 won a head.
- The opening hours we have are all copied from listings, and they changed: five posts up to February 2026 give 09:00–20:30 (last order 19:30), five from April 2026 give 10:00–21:30. Even recent posts disagree on last order (20:00 vs 21:00). Eight posts say it is closed on Tuesdays.
- We know little about waits. Two posts found it empty, both arriving around 2–3 p.m.; no post says whether there is a queue at peak lunchtime.
- No post arrived by bus. One repeats a listing that says it is 20 minutes by bus; everyone who described a visit came by car.
- No post mentions booking a table. Seven posts copy the same phone number, 0507-1349-3142.
- Some posts read as promotion: six follow the same sequence (founded 1978, century-store designation, presidential visits, big parking lot, Doraji set), and only two of them disclose sponsorship. Claims about celebrity visits and same-day-caught hairtail come from the restaurant itself, so we did not rely on them.
