Grand Kitchen

그랜드키친 Geuraendeu Kichin The name is simply the English words 'Grand Kitchen' written in Hangul; it is the buffet restaurant of Grand Hyatt Jeju, named after the hotel.

Compiled from 17 blog posts read in fullSources →

A hotel buffet on the fourth floor of Dream Tower (Grand Hyatt Jeju) in Nohyeong-dong, Jeju City, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. On 7 September 2026 it relaunched as a 'premium Korean buffet', and adult dinner went from 99,000 to 119,000 won. Dinner now centres on snow crab, Korean beef striploin, straw-fire black pork and grilled hairtail, cooked or prepared on the spot by chefs. Breakfast is 60,000 won per adult, and most diners who wrote about it had it bundled into their hotel room. We read 29 posts dated 12 July to 22 October 2026: 17 describe eating here, 4 turned out to be about other places, and 8 were hotel write-ups or list entries that we did not count.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Space is the most repeated point: 10 of the 17 posts that ate here mention it. Writers say tables are well spaced and aisles are wide enough to carry plates without bumping into anyone. A September 2026 post adds that besides 2-, 4- and 5-seat tables there are three private rooms for about eight, which need booking ahead.
  2. Two posts saw high chairs: in September 2026 one found a baby chair and baby cutlery already set at the reserved table, and an August breakfast post counted several high chairs. Several posts also mention a kids' corner with a chocolate fountain and sweets.
  3. Three posts say it is not expensive: one calls it really cheap for a hotel dinner buffet, another says the food matches Seoul five-star buffets at two-thirds of the price, and a third notes prices had come down and they got the resident discount. One post hedges that 60,000 won is not a small sum but feels worth it after a few plates.

Parking

4 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park4 of 17 posts

Four posts parked in the Dream Tower underground garage. One parked in zones B3-B4 and took the Tower 2 lift straight to the fourth floor. Two say you pay at the counter after eating and give your plate number there to get parking validated. An August 2026 post lists the rule as one free hour for a 10,000-won bill, two hours for 30,000 and three hours for 50,000.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 5 (of 17 posts read)
Lift to the floor2 of 17 posts
Toilet inside1 of 17 posts

Five posts describe reaching the fourth-floor restaurant by lift or through the shopping arcade, so it is not underground. One explains that from the garage the Tower 2 lift goes straight to the fourth floor, while from Tower 1 you change lifts at the lobby level.

No one said whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in, though posts do describe reaching the fourth floor by lift. That means no one wrote about it, not that access is lacking.

Only one post mentions toilets: one by the buffet entrance and another inside. No one said whether they are separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 25 posts we gathered, 8 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Prices depend on the date. Posts up to August 2026 list breakfast at 60,000, lunch at 68,000 and dinner at 99,000 won. After the September relaunch dinner is 119,000, and one October post gives lunch as 75,000. Check the post date when comparing meal prices. One post got 10% off as a Jeju resident by showing ID.
  • The menu changed in September 2026. A September writer says it went from a 'Las Vegas-style buffet' to a 'premium Korean buffet', and that on an earlier visit Chinese dishes had dominated. Lamb chops mentioned in August were gone by September. Menu details from August or earlier should not be read as the current spread. The restaurant did not move.
  • No post reports actually waiting. One early breakfast diner saw a queue forming at the entrance rope as they left. Tips that waits grow after 8:30 come from hotel write-ups by people who did not eat here, so we did not count them. We do not know how long the wait is.
  • No post describes coming to eat by bus or by airport shuttle. The free airport shuttle and nearby bus stops appear only in hotel-stay posts, which we did not count. We do not know how easy the buffet is to reach by public transport.
  • Two posts give full-day hours and they agree: 07:00 to 21:30, with breaks from 11:00 to 12:00 and 14:30 to 17:00. One of them copied the restaurant's own listing. Six posts say breakfast starts at 07:00; two say 06:30, one a copied listing and one a template article. No post mentions a closing day.
  • One post booked through CatchTable or the hotel's TableCheck page, and three posts went with a reservation. Two posts give the phone number 1533-1234, but one copied it from the restaurant listing and the other gave it as the hotel's enquiry line.
  • Many posts were left uncounted: hotel promotions with booking links, template comparison articles (one still carrying a 'useless_p_margin' fragment), and FAQ-style guides. We did not rely on the wait times, price cuts or 'fully booked at weekends' claims in those posts.
