Suseonhwa Sikdang
수선화식당 Suseonhwa is the Korean word for narcissus (daffodil); sikdang simply means restaurant.

A small Western-style restaurant in a converted stone-walled house on a lane about ten minutes' walk from Hyeopjae Beach, cooking pasta and old-style pork cutlet with Jeju ingredients. Among diners, the most-ordered dishes were the bomal sea-snail pasta (9 posts), the black-pork cutlet (9) and the deep-sea shrimp and pollock-roe cream pasta (8). One October 2026 post listed them at 18,900, 13,900 and 16,900 won. Five posts said you order from a tablet at the table. We read 30 posts dated 12 June to 25 October 2026: we set aside 2 that were about other places and did not count 10 that only described the place or came off the same template, which leaves 18 first-hand visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- There is often a queue, though early arrivals can walk straight in. Four posts waited: one got in at once and watched a line form right behind them, another found people already waiting on arrival, and one left their name, got a call, then came back. A June post saw the crowd one day and came at opening the next. Two posts that came at opening or on a weekday lunch did not wait, but both said waits can happen. Nobody recorded how many minutes they waited.
- Many posts came with children. Three saw or were brought high chairs; one counted plenty stacked by the corridor to the toilet, another said staff brought a high chair and child cutlery without being asked, and one family had their child's leftover cutlet boxed to take away.
- Three posts noticed that the shrimp and roe cream pasta carries a light chilli heat despite the cream. One family said the brown-sauce cutlet was mild enough for small children.

Parking
4 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

You cannot park at the door. All four posts that drove and parked used the large open lot near Borom Photo Studio, which they reached by putting Hyeopjae 1-gil 39-5 into the navigation; one called the lot sizeable, and another mentioned parking directions posted at the entrance.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
No post discussed floors or stairs. Some describe a single-storey house behind a stone wall, and two say there is a main building and an annex, but nobody said whether there are steps.
Nobody wrote about a threshold or about getting in with a wheelchair or pushchair. That means we don't know, not that there are none. Posts do say you walk in along a narrow lane from the parking lot.
Nobody said whether the toilet is indoors or split by gender; one post only mentions the corridor that leads to it.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 25 posts we gathered, 10 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
| 2026-10-25 | 2 posts in one day |
|---|---|
| 2026-10-24 | 4 posts in one day |
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Eight posts published between 22 and 25 October 2026 all carry the same Naver Place link in their titles and repeat the same phrases in the same order. We treated them as commissioned copy and left them out of every count above.
- No post reached this restaurant by bus. One trip stayed in Hyeopjae and rode the 202 bus, but got a lift that day; another group used taxis. The rest drove rental cars or walked over from the beach.
- Company was split: five posts with family, five with friends, three in larger groups and one couple. Nobody went alone, though one family noted a bar counter where solo diners could sit.
- Eight visit posts list the same opening hours, 11:00 to 20:00 with a 16:00 to 17:30 break, but all of them copied the listing. For last orders, three posts say 15:35 and 19:35 and three say 19:30. No post mentions a closing day.
- Only two posts gave prices: on 3 October 2026, 46,000 won for the two-person signature set and 17,000 for the rib carbonara; on 14 October, 18,900 for the bomal pasta, 16,900 for the shrimp and roe cream pasta and 13,900 for the cutlet. A September post said prices had changed since its visit but gave no figures, so check before you go.
- Four posts gave the same phone number, 0507-1483-5584. Nobody booked by phone; instead, posts describe putting their name on a waiting machine at the entrance and getting a call when a table opened.
