A small village restaurant at 2287 Jungsangandong-ro in Songdang-ri, Gujwa, on Jeju's east side. It serves essentially one thing: a whole deep-fried rockfish under dressed raw onion, 14,000 won per person with a two-person minimum, brought out by headcount as soon as you sit down. It opens at 9:30 a.m. and closes when the fish runs out, so most people eat it in the morning after queueing. We read 30 posts dated 25 September to 25 October 2026; 21 record an actual meal.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Expect to queue, and expect it to end early. Of 21 posts from people who ate, 20 waited; one arrived at 10 a.m. to an empty doorstep. Recorded waits: 10, 20, 30, 40 and 42 minutes, then one hour, 1h20 and 1h30. One writer was 11th at 8:35 on a weekday; another found 'over thirty teams ahead' at 9:26 on a weekend. The list is a notebook by the door — name and party size only, no phone number — so you have to stay within earshot. Posts record the list closing for lack of fish at 10:30, 11:00 and 11:14, and three writers we read left without eating.
- Food lands almost as you sit. Eight posts say so — 'in under five minutes', 'one or two minutes', 'seated 10:34, served 10:35'. Writers guess the kitchen preps from the headcounts on the list, which is why a long line moves fast. Three posts say seating actually began at 9:10, ahead of the posted 9:30.
- It is salty. Six posts say so, one calling it 'the saltiest thing I've eaten in my life'; several advise eating it with plenty of rice or scraping off some sauce. On heat they split: four call it spicy, three say it isn't, and one found the sauce mild but the raw onion sharp. Eleven posts call the fish crisp.
- Entry is 14 and over. Six posts mention the no-kids rule in their own words — one saw the sign at the door, another noticed no young children that day. Four say pets are not allowed.
1 more
- Only a handful of cars fit out front. Nine posts put it at two to six spaces, and most people parked on the road shoulder or a nearby lot. Writers warn you may be asked to move mid-meal, and that cars nosing into the waiting crowd were a nuisance. One post says there is no dedicated lot at all.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
No one mentions the floor level or any steps — not that there are none, just that nobody said.
No one says whether the entrance has a step or works for a wheelchair or stroller.
One post found the toilet clean, but none says whether it is inside or separated by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 25 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Whether the fish is fried to order is disputed: one post says it is fried the moment you order, one found cold patches in the fish, and one guessed it was fried in advance.
- Hours: 14 posts give 9:30–15:00 and 12 say closed Thursdays, but nearly all copied this from listings; one says 'daily'. In practice it often ends around 10:30–11:00 when the fish runs out, and one post mentions a holiday closure in early October 2026.
- Price: every post gives 14,000 won per person for the rockfish set. The two cold soups on the board (17,000 won each) were unavailable for four writers, and one was told only the rockfish set is served now — we can't say whether you'll get them.
- Several posts list the phone number 064-784-4820, but writers say there are no phone reservations or takeout, and the waiting list doesn't take numbers.
- Nobody arrived by bus; everyone who said drove. Whether it's reachable by public transport in this inland village, we don't know.
