Gogitsori
고깃소리 Gogitsori joins gogi (meat) and sori (sound) — literally 'the sound of meat'.

A charcoal black-pork house in a black roadside building at 2172 Jungsangan-seoro, Daejeong-eup, Seogwipo — five to ten minutes by car from Jeju Shinhwa World. The ground floor holds a dry-aging meat case, a wall of whisky and group rooms; most tables are upstairs. You order on a table kiosk or tablet and staff grill and cut the meat for you. A 500 g black-pork plate (neck and belly) runs 68,000–69,000 won, white pork 58,000 won, and at lunch there is a per-person set at 18,000 won (white) or 20,000 won (black) with stew, steamed egg and rice. We read 30 posts dated 31 December 2024 to 20 October 2026; 27 describe an actual meal. From July 2026 the check-in name changed from the 'Jeju Shinhwa World branch' to the 'main branch'.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Staff grill the meat from start to finish — 23 of the 27 meal posts say so. Some posts say the meat was grilled at another table so the smell would not cling to their clothes or because of spattering fat, and one large table had the neck grilled in front of them and the belly cooked elsewhere. Three posts mention a small brazier placed at the table to keep the meat warm.
- The grilling service can be slow. Three posts say food takes a while and advise ordering the next round early; one table of six called the grilling painfully slow, said dishes were very late to arrive, and ranked the service last of three barbecue places.
- Ten posts came with children. Two confirm a high chair from their own visit; others mention baby tableware, refills of steamed egg and salad corn for a baby, and being able to order a fried egg. Family groups are the most common company.
- Eight posts booked ahead, two of them by phone, and one says bookings are seated in a quieter inner section. Only two posts mention waiting, and they differ: one found no queue at all (August 2026), another saw several parties waiting as they left an evening meal (around Chuseok 2025).
1 more
- Four posts call it unusually quiet for a barbecue house — busy, yet very calm. One post found the music rather loud. Smoke is a split: one says extraction was good and clothes did not smell, two describe smoky air and poor ventilation, and an August 2026 post found it far too hot.

Ten posts parked in the lot in front. On size the three that say anything disagree: a few spaces and a bit short, about four or five cars, and plenty of room. One post says you obviously need a car; a group without one called four taxis.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Second floor | 13 of 26 posts |
|---|---|
| Step-free access | yes 0 · no 2 (of 26 posts read) |
Seating is upstairs — 13 posts ate on the first floor up. The ground floor is entrance, meat display, counter and group rooms, so you ring a bell or are greeted downstairs and take the stairs. Five posts mention a separate room or group area on the ground floor; one party sat at a group table for up to eight.
Getting in with a wheelchair or stroller is awkward. Two posts say so: one carried a stroller up quite a lot of stairs to the first floor, another felt upstairs tables would be hard for a family member with limited mobility. No post mentions a lift — that means nobody wrote about one, not that there isn't one. The 'wheelchair accessible' line in two posts is copied from the listing, so we did not rely on it.
No post describes the toilets from experience — where they are or whether they are separated by gender. One post lists separate men's and women's toilets, but that line is copied from the listing.
No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- No post gives a waiting time. One found no queue and one saw people waiting on the way out, so we cannot say when it gets busy.
- No post arrived by bus. One says a car is a must; nobody mentions a nearby stop or walking time.
- Prices differ even within the same months: four posts give 68,000 won for the 500 g black-pork plate, two (July and August 2026, one with a receipt) give 69,000 won. The only full meal bill recorded is 36,000 won for two white-pork lunch sets. One post found it a bit pricey, two called the lunch set good value, and two were undecided.
- Opening hours have changed. 2025 posts give 12:00–22:00 with a 15:30–17:00 break, open daily; a March 2026 post has a 15:30–16:30 break and closes on the first to fourth Thursday of the month; the seven posts from July 2026 agree on 12:00–22:00, a 15:30–16:30 break and Wednesdays off. All are copied listing lines, and one January 2026 post gives a 16:30 opening and Tuesday closure instead. Worth checking before you go.
- Seven or more posts give the same phone number, 0507-1425-0860, and two say they booked by phone. Only one post speaks to walking in without a booking (no wait).
- Two posts (November 2025 and January 2026) reproduce the shop's own promotional lines — top-grade pork, four years running a pork omakase, house-made tsuyu every morning — and close with a hard sell; one also gives meat weights and hours that match no other post. We treated those lines as the shop's claims, not evidence.
