Gwangyuk is a butcher-restaurant on the first and second floors of a stand-alone building at 595 Ayeon-ro in Ara-dong, Jeju City, near Ara Elementary School. As of October 2026, dinner is a per-person set: 180 g of premium pork belly or neck with banchan, stew, rice and the salad bar for 19,800 won, black pork for 22,800 won, or 120 g of Korean-beef ribeye for 29,800 won. Extra meat is picked at the butcher counter by the door, barcoded, and paid for on the way out. Weekday lunch has switched to single dishes such as the 10,000-won pork-bone soup, and the salad bar runs only on weekday evenings and weekends. When it opened in May 2025, adults paid a flat 20,000 won for banchan, salad bar and a set spread, and bought all meat separately. We read 30 posts dated May 2025 to October 2026; 23 of them record an actual meal.

What sets it apart
- Twelve posts describe the playroom from their own visit. It sits on one side of the first floor, not upstairs; one post noticed a screen on the second floor showing the playroom, and another said parents watch on CCTV from the hall. One listed a slide, a trampoline, a TV, claw machines and arcade games. Of the posts that say who they came with, nine came as a family, the largest group.
- Three posts note a two-hour (120-minute) limit per table; one Christmas diner added that December dinners ran in two sittings.
- Six posts found the prices reasonable and one did not: in April 2026 a table of four paid 67,200 won and called the extra meat from the butcher counter expensive.

Eleven posts found parking easy, and five described its size: a first and a second lot, room for several buses, and one visitor's guess of fifty-plus spaces by the entrance alone. The '50+ dedicated spaces' line that recurs is the restaurant's own listing, which we did not count.

Eight posts mention the upstairs room. One noted sofa seating downstairs and mostly tables upstairs, with an L-shaped salad bar on the first floor and a straight one on the second. One post found a wait on the first floor on a weekday evening, apparently because of the playroom, while the second floor had free tables.
Posts place the dining rooms on the first and second floors. One says the building runs from a basement level up to the second floor, but no one ate downstairs and we do not know what the basement holds.
No one described getting a wheelchair or stroller through the entrance themselves. Two posts call the entrance step-free and barrier-free, but both follow the restaurant's promotional checklist, so we did not count them. One post said the aisles inside are wide enough for a stroller, and one diner with an injured toe used the lift.
Only one post mentions toilets, saying there is one on each floor. Separate men's and women's rooms appear only in copied listing options, which we did not count, and no one mentioned an accessible toilet.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 6 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Prices depend on when the post was written: a flat 20,000 won plus meat in May-August 2025, set meals at 16,800 won (lunch) and 19,800 won (dinner) from November 2025 to April 2026, and by October 2026 single-dish weekday lunches and a new 22,800-won black-pork set.
- Sixteen posts give opening hours, mostly copied from listings. Fourteen say 11:30-22:00 and twelve give a 15:00-17:00 break. They disagree on last orders (20:20 in five, 20:00 in three); one post reading the door sign in March 2026 gave the break as starting at 14:00, and one April 2026 post gave closing as 20:00. Only one post says it is open every day of the year.
- No one came by bus or on foot; posts only say it is 15-20 minutes by car from the airport and near Ara Elementary School. That means nobody wrote about it, not that it cannot be done.
- Only one post mentions waiting: a weekday-evening queue for the first floor, with the second floor available straight away. Several posts found the room full, but none gave a waiting time.
- Three posts booked ahead, one of them by phone. The number, 064-723-2777, is consistent across posts.
- Of the 23 visit posts, three disclose sponsorship, three say they paid themselves, and seventeen say nothing. Several October 2026 posts repeat the restaurant's selling points, such as 3,000-won soju and beer and seating for 100-plus, in the same order. One self-paid diner wrote that the many promotional reviews had made them hesitate before going.
