So Peulleoseu Jeju Ara-jeom

소플러스 제주아라점 So is the Korean word for cow, so the name reads as 'beef plus' — a chain that grills imported beef rib cuts over charcoal.

A charcoal beef-barbecue chain branch on Yeonbuk-ro 618 in Jeju City, near Tamna Middle School. You grill US beef rib over charcoal at the table: boneless rib is 44,000 won for 400g or 75,000 for 800g, bone-in rib 46,000 or 79,000. A weekday lunch set gives 130g of rib per person with stew or cold noodles — 13,000 won in posts up to July 2026, 15,000 won from 1 September 2026. Sixteen posts said the room is large, 15 used the car park, and 10 came with family. We read 24 posts from October 2024 to September 2026; 22 describe an actual meal there.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. There is a hand-washing basin in the middle of the dining hall — nine posts mention it, some placing it behind the waiting chairs or beside the indoor fountain. One writer liked not having to go to the toilets to wash before eating.
  2. Expect a wait at dinner. One post waited: around 6pm in December 2025 there were eight groups ahead and it took 35 minutes; you register at a kiosk and get a KakaoTalk message, and lose your turn if you are not nearby. Two posts, on a weekend midday and a late lunch, walked straight in. Seven posts mention a waiting area at the entrance.
  3. Every table has an ordering tablet used for food, calling staff and grill changes (12 posts). Eight posts say lettuce, garlic, chilli and salt come from a self-serve bar, while other side dishes are refilled by asking staff or via the tablet.
  4. Four posts mention private rooms. One group booked ahead and found the room already set; another was told bookings are taken only for ten or more.

  1. Three posts came with small children and three mention high chairs; one also found children's tableware and aprons by the self-serve bar, and the indoor pond kept toddlers busy.

Posts saying you can park15 of 22 posts

Parking is not a worry: 15 posts used the lot and every one called it large, one ranking it among the biggest restaurant car parks in Jeju, and one parked easily at lunchtime. A November 2024 accessibility post noted the disabled bays exist but are tight.

No one describes which floor they ate on. One post says the place has two floors and 350 seats and another copies that from an info block, but a third says it is the Nohyeong branch that runs on two floors — we cannot tell.

Only one post covers wheelchair access — a November 2024 report by Jeju's accessibility centre: a wide, gentle ramp at the main door, but no accessible toilet. We do not know if anything has changed since.

Two posts say the toilets are inside the restaurant and separated by sex; another called them roomy and clean.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Step at the entrance. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 24 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Service reports differ: three posts found staff friendly (one noted how carefully they swapped the charcoal), while one, on a quiet afternoon, said staff ignored the call button and gave service one star out of five. One post found food slow, another found it came at once.
  • We know nothing about getting there by bus. Two posts walked, but none mentions a stop or how long it took — that means no one wrote about it, not that it is hard.
  • Seventeen posts give the same opening hours — 11:20 to 21:40, break 15:00 to 17:00, last order 20:40 — and seven say the break is weekdays only. All are copied info blocks; one says last order 20:30 and another says it opens at 11:30.
  • Prices have moved: the lunch set rose from 13,000 to 15,000 won on 1 September 2026; dessert cold noodles were 7,000 won in March 2025 and March 2026 but one September 2026 post says 9,000; beef tartare was 20,000 won in one March 2025 post and 28,000 in 2026. Nine posts called it good value; one was unsure for imported beef.
  • Two phone numbers appear: five posts from 2024 to 2025 give 0507-1462-8016, three from 2026 give 064-757-7999. One post was told reservations are for ten or more.
  • Two posts are not counted: a top-ten list that pasted this restaurant's widget, and a templated piece listing marinated rib and bulgogi hotpot that are not on the menu. A May 2026 post says the marinated meat has been dropped, leaving only unmarinated cuts.
