Korean

Mido Sikdang

미도식당 Sikdang simply means restaurant; none of the posts explain the name Mido.

Compiled from 14 blog posts read in fullSources →

A fish-focused Korean restaurant in Sagye-ri, Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo, right below Sanbangsan. The signature is the 17,000-won tilefish set: one grilled okdom per person with stir-fried pork, doenjang stew, seaweed soup, soy crab and side dishes. Braised fish and seafood hotpots (50,000-80,000 won) are also on the menu. Posts commonly list 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., so many people came for breakfast or brunch. We read 30 posts from 4 September to 25 October 2026; one was about another restaurant, and 15 describe an actual meal.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. The dining room is big: 11 posts say so, one estimating well over a hundred seats. Four mention windows looking straight onto Sanbangsan.
  2. Four posts saw celebrity autographs and photos by the entrance. Claims like '40 years of tradition' or TV-guide awards are the restaurant's own signage, which we did not count.
  3. Six posts found the seasoning mild - the fish 'not salty at all', the sides 'light, like home cooking'. None found it salty. Two say staff offered refills unprompted.
  4. Reviewers find it good value: none call it expensive and seven praise the 17,000-won set. One, however, called the grilled fish itself fairly ordinary.

  1. Five visits were with family and two with a partner. Of the three with children, one was given a baby chair and child cutlery, and one found it easy to bring a stroller in.

Parking

Posts saying you can park11 of 14 posts

Parking is ample. Of 15 visits, 11 mention it and all call it large - 'as big as a sports field', 'several coaches fit'. It takes tour-bus groups; one post says groups eat in a separate annex.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

Step-free access1 of 14 posts

No post says what floor the dining room is on or whether stairs are involved - nobody wrote about it, which is not the same as there being none.

The only entry note is one visitor finding stroller access easy. No visitor said whether there is a step or stairs, or came in by wheelchair. Two photo-caption posts describe 'a few green steps' and 'a ramp' respectively; we did not count them.

No post mentions where the toilets are or whether they are separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 28 posts we gathered, 14 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-10-133 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Nobody arrived by bus. One post lists bus routes to the Sagye-ri stop, but copied them from Naver Place and drove there anyway.
  • No one reported waiting. One saw group bookings filling the room at an early lunch, another called it 'very busy' with tour groups, but neither queued. Two say food comes out quickly.
  • Ten visit posts all give opening hours of 8:00-16:00, but mostly in copied info blocks; two add 'open every day'. One introduction-only post says 9 a.m.
  • Six posts give the phone number 0507-1333-0642 and two give 064-794-0642. Reservations appear only in copied 'groups welcome' info; no visitor booked ahead.
  • The hairtail set's price is split: two posts say 20,000 won, two say 25,000. Rice is extra with the braises and hotpots.
  • One family ordered the hairtail braise alongside two tilefish sets and got no doenjang stew, and the pork came without a burner; they were told to ask if they wanted it.
  • Ten of the 30 posts share the same headings and phrases ('40-year tradition', 'kind prices') and describe dinner at a place that closes at 4 p.m.; we treated them as templated copy, not visits. Two photo-caption posts likewise.
