포플러스한우쌀국수 트리플스트리트본점 A Vietnamese-Thai kitchen two floors under Triple Street in Songdo, where the pho broth is Korean beef and the outer tables take dogs.
Data as of · Published ·
Poplus is a Vietnamese and Thai restaurant on the second basement level of building C in the Triple Street complex in Songdo, Incheon. It advertises a broth of Korean beef and marrow bones simmered 48 hours, and splits its noodle soups two ways: flame-grilled meat with dried noodles, or beef with fresh ones. Beyond the soups there is fusion fried rice, pad thai, curry, bun cha and summer rolls — the menu is long. One half of the room is enclosed, the other opens onto the mall walkway, which is both inside and not; dogs are allowed at those outer tables. Side dishes and sauces come from a self-service bar. Open every day, no closing day, no afternoon break. The posts we read run from November 2024 to September 2026.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.

What sets it apart
- You can eat here with a dog. Six writers mention it and three actually brought one. The seats are the ones opening onto the walkway; one writer was told there are about six such places. A dog owner notes that staff steer you to a quieter corner, which suits everyone, and another records a member of staff apologising to her dog as he squeezed past. One adds that bringing the dog in a buggy or carrier is the courteous way.
- There are seats that are inside and outside at once — nine writers describe the split between an enclosed room and tables opening onto the walkway. People choose the open side: one found every customer sitting there, another says the enclosed part holds few tables and everyone prefers the air. One writer was steered outside by the owner, who told her it was cooler. Two mention the palm trees that make it easy to spot. In summer, though, one writer counted electric fans running here and there — an open front does not hold cool air.
- Side dishes and sauces come from a self-service bar — twelve writers say so. Pooling their lists: kimchi, pickled radish, pickled onion, cucumber pickles; sweet chilli, hot chilli, hoisin, and a chilli paste. Ladles, cutlery and side plates are there too. Two writers praise the sweet pickled onion, one using it to cut the richness of the broth. One notes it is quicker than asking a waiter. The origin board hangs above the bar, and two writers read it.
- Discounts come and go and are never quite the same. Five writers record five different ones: 2,000 off a set (September 2025, August and September 2026), a time discount from five in the afternoon (September 2026), a 6,000-won weekday lunch bowl (September 2025), and, back in November 2024, a first-come board of sticky notes you peeled off between eleven and two and again five to seven. Two writers say to read the small sign by the door. What is running now, you will only know on arrival. Two note the local-currency card is accepted.
- The staff intervene, helpfully. Seven writers call them kind and four say what they actually did. One was talked out of set B and into set A plus an extra bowl, by the owner. One was moved to the cooler outer tables. One, arriving with a child, was handed a child's bowl and several sharing plates before she asked. Another was told which sauce went with which dish. One writer thought some of the staff were not Korean.
- There are a lot of seats. Ten writers say so; one counted about fifteen tables and sixty places, and another was told the room holds a hundred and takes group bookings from eight people to fifty. Others note the wide gaps between tables. Which is why nobody queues — five say they walked straight in, and one gives the reason: plenty of customers, but more tables.
- Not one writer reports waiting. Five say the opposite — quiet on a Sunday evening, half-empty just after the dinner rush, 'I don't think there's usually a wait; you can drift in'. One admits she had low expectations precisely because she never saw anyone in there when she walked past (and then liked it). Lunchtime does fill up, though: two note the room busy at midday and full at peak.
- The origin board is up, and two writers read it: above the self-service bar, stating Korean beef and marrow bones for the broth. One drew a conclusion from it — that the mildness is the absence of seasoning powder rather than a fault. The shop bills itself as the first in the country to make flame-grilled pho with Korean beef, a line three writers copy down. We have not verified that claim.

Parking
13 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Parking is not a worry here. The mall car park gives five free hours a day — thirteen writers say so, several specifying the hours. Two advise parking by buildings B and C, nearest the food floor. On a busy day, though, the queue starts at the car park: one writer spent a public holiday waiting outside a lot she had always found half-empty.

Getting there

Getting inside
| In a basement | 4 of 27 posts |
|---|
Second basement, building C of Triple Street — four writers place it themselves, one specifying: in front of building C's escalator, between two named neighbours. One notes you can walk to it indoors the whole way from the Hyundai outlet. Two say the big sign and the palm trees make it easy to find. Four posts get the location wrong, variously placing it in building B, building D, 'D building second floor' and 'third basement'. It is C, two floors down.
Nobody looked at the threshold or a ramp. The words wheelchair, pushchair, ramp, step and threshold never appear in any of the thirty posts. One writer wheeled a dog buggy in and even she says nothing about the way in. We know it is two floors down, by an escalator, with an open front — where the lift is, and whether there is a lip at the entrance, we do not know. A mall unit sounds likely to be fine, but that is a guess, and we do not print guesses.
Not one writer mentions the toilet. Across all thirty posts there is not a line about it — inside the restaurant, or the shared one on the mall's basement food floor; split by sex, or not. We know nothing. A shopping-centre food floor suggests a shared facility, but that is our guess and not something anyone wrote. Four of these writers came with children and three with dogs, and still nobody looked.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- Whether the food is salty or bland is the sharpest disagreement here. Two writers say opposite things. An August 2026 post is headed by the word *salty*: she salts her own food heavily and still felt someone had poured it in. The fried rice and the noodles both, and she left the broth. She looked round at the other tables wondering whether the place is simply like this. A September 2026 post says the opposite — the seasoning is light, bring on the chilli sauce — and reads the origin board as the explanation: a broth of Korean beef and bones rather than a spoonful of seasoning powder. Most other writers land on 'judged about right' or 'clean'. We cannot tell which is the shop on a given day. Two things are worth adding: the chilli sauce and the paste are on the self-service bar, and even the writer who found everything salty says the bun cha was not.
- How the coriander arrives has changed. An April 2025 post says it comes in the bowl as a matter of course. Four posts from 2026 all say the opposite: it is left out unless you ask. Asking is free — one writer had two helpings, another ordered refill after refill and was cheerfully obliged. If you want it, say so; if you don't, say nothing.
- The opening time wobbles. Sixteen posts agree the shop shuts at nine; the opening time comes in four versions — 10:20, 10:30, 10:40 and 10:00. Twelve say half past ten, three say twenty to eleven. Spread across two years, we cannot tell a change from a copying error: the 10:40s are scattered through November 2024, August and September 2025, with 10:30s on either side of each. Two posts say it stays open later at weekends — one from February 2025, one from April 2025, both putting Saturday and Sunday at half past nine. In the eighteen months since, nobody has split the week, and everyone says nine, daily. With one post each we did not load them, but check before planning a late dinner.
- What thirty people ordered clusters on the fried rice and the plain noodle bowl — thirteen and eleven respectively, while only two ate the Korean-beef bowl the shop is named after. Several dishes on the menu — the seafood-and-beef spicy bowl, two bun dishes, the Thai fried rice, the beef red curry — were eaten by nobody and priced by nobody. On a menu this long, there is a good deal this page cannot tell you.
