Cheongdam Gaok Seokbawi
청담가옥 석바위점 Charcoal beef and pork grill across both floors of a building at the Seokbawi crossroads
Data as of · Published ·
Cheongdam Gaok's Seokbawi branch is a charcoal grill house on the crossroads at Seokbawi, in Incheon's Michuhol district. It takes up both floors of a building on the main road — four writers put it at 64 seats downstairs and 47 upstairs. Beef and pork, a charcoal brazier sunk into every table, and a self-service bar for the side dishes. Half past eleven until ten, with the kitchen closed between three and four on weekdays; at lunch a separate short menu of hotpots, rib soup and set meals runs instead. Almost every post about this place opens with the same two numbers: soju at 1,900 won, beer at 2,900. It opened in the autumn of 2025, and the posts we read run from October 2025 to September 2026.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart
- What people write about here is not the meat — it is the price of the drink. Nineteen posts quote soju at 1,900 won, and several of them are by people who did not drink any: one notes it only so her husband can enjoy it, one came at lunch with a small child and writes off the missed chance with visible regret, one spent the whole meal muttering about a medical check the next morning. Another says he simply could not walk past the sign. The arithmetic carries over to the food: a family of four reports leaving at 70,000 won including meat, drink and soft drinks, and the 13,000-won lunch set has rice and soybean stew inside the price.
- Nearly every writer mentions the gap between the tables, and most of them say what that gap bought them. A grill house with tight tables leaves nowhere to put anything, one notes, and this one did not. A mother writes that her toddler could watch videos with the sound on without her having to apologise to the next table. Another got a pushchair through without trouble. Two mention a wall of window and the street outside.
- The upstairs floor can be booked whole. The notice, copied into one post, puts it at 47 seats, available on weekdays, with lunch bookings from 11:30 for two hours and meat bookings from 11:30 or 16:00 for three — both with a fifteen-person minimum, and both aimed at family gatherings, birthdays, work dinners and first-birthday parties. What is missing is anyone who actually went up. Several write some version of "we didn't get to see the second floor", and not one post describes a meal eaten there.
- Almost everyone repeats that the side dishes are made in-house: the self-service bar holds lettuce, shredded scallion, dressed bean sprouts, three kinds of kimchi, raw garlic, green chilli, sliced onion, pickled radish wraps and ssamjang, and you take what you want at no charge. Four writers credit the scallion kimchi with cutting the fat off the beef; two went back twice for the young-radish kimchi. Two were told the ssamjang and even the salad dressing are made on site. One writer heard it differently, though — that everything except the kimchi is made in the shop. Every other post says everything is.
- Five posts end at the sweets. They sit by the till in assorted flavours, and two parents record the owner pressing three of them into a child's hand. One writer had a cup of instant coffee on the way out, one was handed a yoghurt drink, one sprayed themselves down with the fabric deodoriser by the door. Two describe staff circling back to tend the charcoal and adjust the heat while they grilled; one asked for less soup powder in a child's instant noodles and says the kitchen simply did it.

Parking
2 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Sixteen posts mention the car park; two people actually parked in it. Most of the rest is a line of icons at the top of the post — car symbol, "parking available, behind the building" — and one writer says outright that she has walked every single time and has never used it. The size is disputed, too: two call it unusually roomy for this neighbourhood, while a third looked at the same lot and wrote that you may have to double-park. Nobody counted the spaces. Two say it is free.

Hardly anyone says which floor they sat on. Plenty of writers note that the restaurant occupies both, and that the upper one is kept for private bookings, but only three state that they ate downstairs and the rest do not say at all. No post describes a meal on the second floor. Whether there is a lift between the two, nobody mentions.
There are steps at the front door, and a way around them. A woman with a pushchair writes that the front has stairs but you can come in from the car-park side instead, and that this worked. The car park is behind the building, reached down the side alley marked with traffic cones. In thirty posts, she is the only person who looked at the entrance.
Nobody says whether a wheelchair can get in. One person came with a pushchair and avoided the front steps by going round to the car-park side, but does not say whether that route has a lip, a ramp, or a door wide enough. No post claims step-free access either way. Two writers say a pushchair moves easily between the tables once inside — which is a different question from getting through the door.
Only one writer actually looked at the toilets: inside the restaurant, separate for men and women, clean — with a photograph. Two other posts list the same facts, but as part of a block of icons lifted straight from the shop's Naver listing, so we did not count them. Whether there is an accessible toilet, how many cubicles, or which floor they are on: nobody says.
No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- Nobody writes about waiting. Several describe a room that was nearly full at seven, or people still coming in on a weekday evening, or a crowd at an hour they thought would be quiet — but not one says they queued. Whether you wait, whether you get seated straight away, how long it takes: we do not know. One writer suggests booking ahead for a larger group.
- The exit number is disputed. Five posts say exit 2 at Seokbawi Market station — and give the distance as 294 metres, a three-minute walk, and a five-minute walk. Three say exit 1, all of them describing it as the exit from the underground shopping arcade. "Right outside", "right next to it" and "five minutes on foot" are all used about the same restaurant. One writer came by bus; three walked from home. What is between the station and the door, and whether you cross a road, nobody says.
- Two writers say flatly opposite things. One, in January 2026, calls it a franchise and is glad one has finally opened near Seokbawi. Another, in June, insists it is not a chain and that the owner works everything out herself. Both appear to be repeating something they were told, and we could not settle it. What we can confirm from the check-in tag is only the name: Cheongdam Gaok, Seokbawi branch.
- Two of the thirty declared a sponsorship. One tagged it at the end of the post; the other wrote that goods were provided by the business, then added in the same breath that she paid for it herself — a contradiction inside a single post, which we resolved in favour of the disclosure. Three others state they paid their own way, one of them photographing the receipt. The remaining twenty-five say nothing, which means they did not declare, not that there was nothing to declare.
- One post — the oldest — gives completely different hours: half past three to half past ten, every day, written on 10 October 2025. The twenty-four that follow all say half past eleven to ten. That post opens with "a grill house has appeared near my flat", so these are very likely the opening-week hours, but we could not confirm it and we are not going to choose between them. For the same reason we have left alone an August 2026 writer who describes the place as having opened "a couple of years back" — three posts from the autumn of 2025 call it brand new.
- Two posts record something that is not quite this restaurant. One types an address into the body — a different road entirely — while the check-in widget in the same post gives the real one. Another writes the beer price as 1,900 won, twice, where six other posts say 2,900. We cannot tell which is right in either case. Two phone numbers circulate as well: the one twelve posts list, and a landline that appears only on the notice about booking the upstairs floor.
