보돌미역 부평시장역점 Bodol is the name of the clear-water sea off the Goheung peninsula the chain says its seaweed comes from, so the sign reads roughly 'Bodol seaweed'; this is the branch by Bupyeong Market station, where every broth can be had with or without two Wando abalone dropped in.

Bodol Miyeok is a seaweed-soup house a three-to-five-minute walk from exit 4 of Bupyeong Market station, on the ground floor at 253-10 Buheung-ro. It belongs to a national chain, and the room was a brunch cafe before — which is why it looks more like one than like the old-fashioned soup shops. The list runs on three broths, flatfish, clam and beef, each also sold in a version with two Wando abalone dropped in, alongside set meals of grilled pork, braised pollack and cockle bibimbap, and soy-marinated crab to take home. Open daily 11:00 to 20:30, closed between 15:00 and 17:00. We counted twenty-nine of the thirty posts we read: the one we set aside is a "top 10 in Bupyeong Market" listicle that puts this shop ninth and copies the Naver listing verbatim without anyone eating anything. The posts run from November 2024 to August 2026.

Parking

11 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

Coming by car means finding somewhere else to leave it. Nobody disputes that there is no lot of its own, and what sets these posts apart is that the drivers say where they ended up. There are a few kerbside spaces and they are usually taken, so several writers drove on to the temporary public car park at Camp Market — one clocks the walk back at eight minutes. The lane is old and narrow, says another; a third points to a temporary lot by the Gulpocheon works. More than one simply tells you to take the train.

Naver Map has a full English mode — Settings → Language → English. In Korea it gives better walking and transit directions than Google Maps.

Getting inside

Nobody has written about getting in with a wheelchair. Across twenty-nine posts the words wheelchair, pushchair, ramp, step, threshold and accessible toilet do not appear once, and the copied Naver facilities line does not cover them either. This is not a no — it is a gap in what we know, and on access a wrong answer costs someone a wasted journey. Three writers did see high chairs, and one of them found child-sized bowls and spoons as well.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 29 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

When the posts appeared

What we do not know

• Our evidence on whether the toilets are split by sex contradicts itself. A line reading "takeaway, wi-fi, separate men's and women's toilets, groups welcome" recurs across posts in exactly the same order — it is lifted wholesale from the Naver listing, so we did not count it as anything anyone saw. Strip it out and one person describes the toilets from having used them, in January 2026, and that person writes that the single toilet inside is shared. We cannot tell you which is true now. If it matters to you, ring ahead.
• No one looked at the doorway. The registered address and the check-in line both read "253-10 Buheung-ro, ground floor", and there is no dispute that the shop is at street level — but in almost every one of the twenty-nine posts that "ground floor" is the address line the Naver check-in widget prints, not something anyone noticed. Nobody describes climbing a step or finding a lip at the door. We can tell you it is neither upstairs nor down a basement; past that, we do not know.
• Nine of these posts landed in December 2025, and four of them carry the fingerprints of a shared brief. Whole clauses match word for word — the home-cooking sides that suit the soup, the recommendation as a one-person restorative, the verdict that it has value, atmosphere and flavour all at once — and one of the four is from June 2025 yet writes the December sentences. We kept them in the count anyway: each names its own dishes and describes its own meal, so we could not call them unvisited. Judge them yourself. One post declares sponsorship outright, four state that they paid, and the remaining twenty-four say nothing either way.
• On queues and crowding the posts disagree, and there are only three of them. One walked in at 7:15 on a Saturday evening; one found the room empty at an early lunch; one says there are often people waiting at midday. Another found the evening unhurried. Three accounts cannot tell you whether you will queue at lunch. Several writers do advise booking, so if you want the back room, call first.
• The expensive end of the menu never actually sells in anything we read. The sharing sets at ₩55,000 and ₩71,000 draw four admiring glances and no orders; the soy-marinated crab, prawn and abalone sold by the jar, and the dried seaweed by the till, get as far as being noticed. The abalone porridge, the flatfish mulhoe and the fiery braised pollack exist only on the list. Nobody ate them, so we have nothing to tell you about them.
• Almost every post that gives the hours gives the same ones — daily 11:00 to 20:30, a break from 15:00 to 17:00, last orders at 20:00 — but two say the shop closes at 23:30. Those two are dated 14 and 17 December 2025, they carry the identical line of text, and that same line puts last orders at 20:00, which cannot both be true. It looks like one writer's slip copied into another's post; rather than quietly correct it we have recorded what they wrote. Two posts say the shop never closes for a regular day off.
