명가충무김밥 Myeongga means a renowned house; Chungmu is the old name of Tongyeong, and chungmu gimbap is the town's plain rice rolls eaten with squid and radish kimchi served on the side.

A small shop at the entrance to Tongyeong's Jungang Market, opposite the Ganguan pavilion among the honey-bread stalls, selling nothing but chungmu gimbap. A portion — plain rolls with squid-and-fish-cake salad, radish kimchi, a sesame-oil dip and soup — is 6,500 won; eat in, or take away from two portions up. What sets it apart
- Many people take it away: 11 of the 23 posts bought takeout or noted a stream of takeout customers. The sides come stacked in plastic, radish kimchi under the squid salad, and two posts thought the kimchi was missing until they lifted the top layer. Several suggest eating it by the harbour across the road.
- The room is small. Ten posts call it cramped or cosy; those that counted tables say six (two posts) or five (one). Eight posts say there is seating to eat in.
- Waits vary. Five posts queued; two walked straight in, in the morning or a quiet hour. Only one gives a time — five minutes on a weekend. One says everyone queues, takeout or not; another says takeout customers line up inside while diners wait at the door for a table. Three posts note the food comes out fast.
- Six posts say the sides are generous. Two ordered extra rolls because sides were left over; one lists extra rolls at 2,500 won without sides.

No one says which floor the shop is on or whether there are steps — only that it faces the main road by the market.
Nobody mentions a step at the door or wheelchair or stroller access. That means unknown, not absent.
No post mentions a toilet, so we do not know whether there is one inside or whether it is separated by sex.

Of the 29 posts we gathered, 6 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Prices changed: 6,000 won a portion in May 2025, 6,500 won in posts from August 2025. One October 2026 post says 6,000, but two others that month say 6,500.
- Only one post speaks from experience about minimum orders: a single portion was fine when eating in. Several posts repeat that takeout starts at two portions, but mostly as copied notices, so we did not count them, and another post says takeout works from one. The five-portion minimum for nationwide delivery is likewise copied.
- Only one post came by bus: about 30 minutes from Tongyeong intercity terminal to Jungang Market, no transfer.
- One post brought a dog in: staff asked whether it barked much and seated them at the edge table by the door. The same post found the staff businesslike rather than warm.
- Fourteen posts give hours of 7:30am to 8:50pm, six adding that Monday opens at 8:10. All read as copied listings, not observed times. None mentions a closing day; several say open daily.
- Ten posts copy the phone number 055-644-0072. No one says whether bookings are taken; one says delivery orders go in by phone before 2pm the day before.
- Four 'top 10' style roundups share the same template and contain no eating record, so we did not count them.
