A chungmu gimbap shop on Tongyeonghaean-ro 319, facing the turtle ship moored in Gangguan harbour. There is one dish: eight finger-sized rolls of plain rice in laver, with squid-and-fishcake muchim and radish kimchi on the side and a bowl of siraegi soup. Several posts describe paying at the counter first and carrying your own tray. Posts from late August 2026 on put a serving at ₩7,500. What sets it apart
- This is a take-away place first. 18 posts took food away or noted that you can. Posts from 2026 say takeout starts at two servings, and one lists ice packs at ₩1,000 and cooler bags or ice boxes at ₩2,000. People wrote of eating their rolls on the ferry to Yokjido, in Yi Sun-sin Park, in the car, and on a mat spread out in a car park.

The shop is more than one floor. Two posts saw the upstairs — tables on the first and second floors, 'roomier than expected' — and three thought there was an upper floor but did not go up. One post sat on the ground floor; two counted about five tables. Seven posts say there is room to sit and eat, three call it spacious.
No one wrote about a step at the door or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller — that means we don't know, not that it's fine. Nor did anyone say whether the upper floor is reached by stairs or a lift.
Only one post mentions a toilet, guessing it is upstairs. Nobody described separate facilities or size.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Opinions on taste split. Three posts found it ordinary — one said you might as well eat chungmu gimbap in Seoul — and one post that took two servings away said it simply wasn't good. Two posts found it not salty; one detected a faint saltiness.
- The price moved over time: ₩6,500 a serving in two May 2025 posts, ₩7,000 in four posts from January to July 2026, and ₩7,500 from the 24 August 2026 post on (one February 2026 post already gave ₩7,500). One post found it ₩500 dearer than neighbouring shops; one, from May 2025, called it cheap.
- Whether soup comes with takeout varies: two posts got it packed, two say you must ask, one found none in the bag, and one was advised against it because it spoils. Ask when ordering.
- Waits depend on the hour. One post from May 2025, at 7:30 pm, found the dining room closed to sit-down guests and a long takeout line. Two posts, on a weekday at 2:30 pm and a weekday morning, found it quiet. Nobody recorded how many minutes they queued.
- One post describes getting there by public transport: Tongyeong bus terminal is too far to walk from Gangguan, so they took bus 534.
- One post travelling with a dog says eating inside was not allowed, so they took food away.
- Opening hours: 14 posts all give 06:00–23:00 daily, three adding no days off. Most copy this into an info box rather than reporting it first-hand. No one mentions a break or last order.
- Many posts give the same phone number, 055-645-2647. No one says whether the shop takes reservations.
- Tongyeong has other Hanil Gimbap shops — posts point out a Jungnim main branch and a Mujeon-dong franchise HQ as separate places. This page is the Gangguan main shop.
