한마음식당 Hanmaeum means 'one heart' or 'one mind', a common Korean name for togetherness; sikdang simply means restaurant.

An oyster restaurant on a side street in Dongho-dong, Tongyeong, near Jungang Market and Dongpirang. The signature 'Hanmaeum gul samhap' grills oysters, thin pork belly and kimchi together at the table, followed by raw oysters, oyster salad, steamed oysters, oyster pancake, oyster fishcake, sweet-and-sour oysters, grilled fish, oyster rice and seaweed soup in sequence. Posts from November 2024 through January 2026 all give 40,000 won per person; the oyster set meal was 30,000 won in November 2025. A few people came for cold mulhoe in summer. We read 25 posts from November 2024 to October 2026; 16 describe an actual meal, and the other 9 are multi-restaurant lists or TV and info roundups we did not count.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.
What sets it apart
- Bigger inside than it looks. Seven posts call it spacious — one says the interior is far larger than the frontage suggests, another describes long rows of tables. A November 2024 family of six notes a private room off the main hall and more tables behind it. Several posts mention walls and pillars covered in diners' handwriting.
- Side dishes are refilled from a self-serve corner. Six posts say so; one November 2024 diner went back for bean sprouts and seaweed salad two or three times, and a January 2026 post places the corner near the entrance.
- There's room for a few cars out front. Five posts describe parking from experience, and four give a count — 'only two or three in front of the building', 'three spaces in front'. Two posts used the Dpirang public lot a minute's walk away (500 won for the first 30 minutes for a small car) instead.
- The samhap needs two diners. Three posts say so; one adds that the oyster set meal can be ordered for one. Portions split three to one: three posts found it plentiful (three portions for three people left leftovers), one felt there were few oysters for the price.

No post mentions a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. One post came with a child but said nothing about a stroller.
One post says the restroom is inside, to the right of the award plaques, and clean. Nobody said whether it is split by gender or accessible.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 23 posts we gathered, 9 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Waits depend on timing. One post queued: a November 2024 weekend evening during a seafood festival, full house, and the samhap had sold out. Two posts arriving around 11 a.m. or before lunch had the place to themselves; one of them waited a long time for mulhoe because the kitchen wasn't ready yet.
- Opening hours come only from info blocks the posts copied, and they shifted over time: 07:30–23:00 in November 2024, 08:00–23:00 in July and November 2025, 08:00–22:00 in four posts from December 2025 to January 2026, and 09:00–22:00 in two posts from August 2026. Only one November 2024 post mentions days off (none). Check before going.
- Prices moved. The samhap was 40,000 won per person through January 2026; an October 2026 roundup lists '60,000 won' without saying for how many. The oyster set meal was 30,000 won in two November 2025 posts and 35,000 in an October 2026 list; an October 2026 visit paid 25,000 per person for the oyster-soup set. Two posts found it fair value; one felt the oysters were few for the price.
- No post describes arriving by bus. One gives the location as a minute's walk from the Nammangsan Park entrance stop, but doesn't say they took the bus, so we didn't count it. Most came by car or on foot while touring Dongpirang and the market.
- More than ten posts list the phone number 0507-1401-0971; none says they booked ahead. Claims such as '100 tables a day', ultrasonic dish-washing, no reuse of side dishes, and a hotel-trained chef are the restaurant's own copy repeated by bloggers, and we don't treat them as evidence.
