Compiled from 9 blog posts read in fullSources →

A budae-jjigae (army stew) house at the mouth of Uijeongbu's Budae-jjigae Street, 1309 Hoguk-ro. There are just two dishes, the stew and a stir-fried version; all nine visitors ate the stew, and five give the same price of 12,000 won per person. Staff pour the broth and season the pot at your table, and four posts say scorched-rice tea or nurungji comes out near the end. We read 15 posts from December 2025 to October 2026; 14 of them fall between 10 and 26 October 2026, around a YouTube video by Tzuyang posted on 17 October. Nine describe an actual meal.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. The seasoning is added at the table: six posts describe staff spooning chili flakes, minced garlic and pepper into the pot after pouring the broth. One adds that they will put in more if you want it stronger.
  2. All five posts that describe the broth call it spicy-hot. One of them adds that it is clean and light, so people who like a heavy, rich broth may find it lacking.
  3. Three posts say the portion is generous, including the ham in the basic pot; none say it is small.
  4. Three visitors saw Tzuyang's poster, autograph or photo on the wall; most October 2026 posts say they came because of the video.

Parking

Posts saying you can park1 of 9 posts

Seven posts mention parking but only two speak from experience: one says there are two or three spots out front that are often taken, the other parked in a nearby underground public lot after a 20-minute wait. The rest copy listing lines, which we did not count.

Getting inside

Toilet inside1 of 9 posts

No visitor describes the floor. The address says ground floor, but that is copied text, not an observation.

No one says whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. That means we do not know, not that there is a problem.

One post says the restroom is inside; no one mentions whether it is separated by gender or how big it is.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 12 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Only one post mentions waiting: they walked straight in at lunch on the festival weekend. No one says what it is like at other times.
  • Views on size split one to one: one post calls it small, with about 12 tables including group seating, another found it surprisingly roomy. A third counted about 15 tables.
  • Three posts cover getting there by transit: it sits right by Uijeongbu Jungang station on the light rail; one who walked from Uijeongbu station on Line 1 found it a long walk, and one came by bus.
  • The four posts that say who they came with are all different: a date, a husband, a group of four, a car trip. No pattern emerges.
  • Opening hours come only from copied listing lines: daily 9:00 to 23:30 in four posts, 9:00 to midnight in two (10 to 15 October), 9:00 to 21:30 in one. No post mentions a closing day.
  • The stew is consistently 12,000 won a person, but add-on and stir-fry prices appear only in one compiled post. Two posts give a meal total: 20,000 won for two with noodles, and 21,000 won with add-ons after a festival discount. One calls it cheap.
  • The phone number 031-846-1449 comes from two posts written without visiting. No one says whether reservations are taken.
