Yongyong Seonsaeng Yangju Okjeong-jeom
용용선생 양주옥정점 Yong is the Korean word for dragon and seonsaeng an honorific for a teacher or elder, so the name reads roughly 'Master Yongyong'; one post notes the room is decorated around a dragon motif.

A Hong Kong retro-themed Chinese pub chain on the ground floor of M Tower in Okjeong's central shopping district. People come for mala hotpot, crispy yurinki chicken, kkanpunggi and mala mayo shrimp alongside sorghum-liquor highballs or draft beer; dishes in the posts run 13,400 to 26,400 won and the two-person set is 32,900 won. We read 20 posts dated June 2025 to September 2026; 5 turned out to be about other places (the Nowon branch, a hair salon in the same building) and were set aside. Of the remaining 15, 13 describe an actual visit. The volcano mala hotpot came up most, in nine posts, five of which ordered it.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Four posts said the room is large, one adding that the wide spacing between tables kept the noise down. Three posts described sofa seats, regular tables and group tables; one noted that the partitioned booths look like private rooms but are not closed off for a single party.
- Six posts said the fried dishes were crisp, from the eggplant to the boneless kkanpung chicken and the yurinki. Four posts said they were not greasy.
- Two posts found the food hot: one warned that the yurinki is loaded with green chilies, and a couple who asked twice for the mildest level of the mala braise still found it fiercely hot. Only that post mentions choosing a spice level.
- Two posts said ordering is by QR code on your phone; there is no tablet at the table. Two posts mentioned free starter snacks, pickled radish and peanuts in one, a cucumber-onion salad in the other.
1 more
- Three posts called the food salty, one leaving most of a hotpot and corn chicken for being salty and sweet. One post went the other way: the crab and egg soup was bland enough that they asked for salt.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
No post described the floor from experience; the 'ground floor' in the address is copied from the listing.
No one wrote about steps at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. We don't know either way.
No post mentioned where the toilets are or whether they are separated by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 15 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Prices went up. A June 2025 post listed yurinki at 19,900, the mala braise at 24,900 and butter kkanpunggi at 15,900 won; posts from September and October 2025 show 21,400, 26,400 and 17,400. After October 2025 the only price anyone gave was the 32,900-won two-person set, so we don't know current prices.
- Five posts give the opening hours as 11:00 to 02:00 daily with last orders at 01:00, but all copied them from the listing. From actual visits, one couple found it open at 1 a.m. and another time set out at 11:30 p.m. to eat; another post drank there until 1 a.m. Nobody mentioned a closing day.
- No post reported waiting. One advised that there may be a queue on weekend evenings, and a Christmas Day visit found the room about half full. That doesn't mean there's never a wait, just that no one wrote about one.
- No post described getting there by bus or train; one only said it is easy to spot on the main shopping street.
- The phone number 031-867-5788 appears in five posts, all copied from the listing. No one wrote about booking by phone, and the 'groups welcome' line is copied too.
- Three posts follow the same promotional template, praising one dish per heading, without saying whether they were sponsored. Three posts say they paid their own way.
