Yeokjeon Halmeoni Maekju Yangju Okjeong-jeom

역전할머니맥주 양주옥정점 Yeokjeon halmeoni maekju means 'Grandma's beer by the station' — the name of a beer-hall chain; this is its Okjeong branch in Yangju.

Compiled from 7 blog posts read in fullSources →

A branch of the Yeokjeon Halmeoni Maekju beer-hall chain in the Polyplaza 1 building (104–105) in Okjeong's central shopping district, Yangju. People come for draft beer in frosted glasses with bar food like jjapaguri (9,000 won), fries and fried chicken; the copied listing says it opens at 3 p.m. We read 30 posts dated April 7 to October 20, 2026; seven describe actually eating here. The other 23 were about neighbouring businesses in the same building or were listings that only mentioned the name, so we left them out. Six of the seven ordered the jjapaguri.

Rows without a count: 4 of 5 posts.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. A free snack arrives when you sit down. Five posts mention it: puffed-grain crackers in three, macaroni snacks in two. One noted the crackers were crisp rather than stale.
  2. Five posts call it cheap and none call it expensive. Recorded prices: jjapaguri 9,000 won (two posts), a 500ml draft 4,700 won, a 300cc pineapple slush beer 4,500 won. The one post that tried the lemon drink did find that pricey.
  3. Ordering is done on a device at the table. Two posts say so: one mentions a tablet at every table, and another found the kiosk wrongly showing the chicken-heart skewers as sold out.
  4. Three posts came as a couple and one with friends. No post describes coming alone or with children.

Parking

2 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park2 of 7 posts

You can park in the building's basement garage. Two posts drove here, and one had the parking validated at the counter. Three other posts only copied a 'parking available' line, which we didn't count. Nobody says how many free hours you get.

Getting inside

Toilet insideyes 0 · no 1 (of 7 posts read)

No post describes which floor the bar is on from experience; the '1st floor' in one address line was copied.

We don't know whether there's a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in. Nobody wrote about it, which isn't the same as saying there's a problem.

The toilet may not be inside the bar. Only one post mentions it: you have to step outside and go back into the shopping building, which it found inconvenient. Nobody says whether toilets are separated by gender or how big they are.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • Nobody describes arriving by public transport. One post copied 'Line 1 Deokgye or Yangju station' into an info block; we don't know how far the walk is.
  • No post says they had to wait. Two say Friday and weekend evenings are always busy; one that went late on a weekend found all but two tables full, but says tables free up quickly. One that went early on a Sunday evening got in and out before the crowd.
  • All opening hours are copied from listing blocks. Four posts agree on 3 p.m.–2 a.m. Sunday to Thursday and 3 p.m.–3 a.m. Friday and Saturday; one post from April 8, 2026 gives closing times an hour later. Two give last orders an hour before closing. One says it is open every day of the year.
  • Menu prices come only from two April 2026 posts and one October post (a 300cc beer). No post gives a total bill. One says jjapaguri, a long cheese cutlet, squid mouths and five 500ml beers came to over 50,000 won.
  • Four posts copied the phone number 0507-1373-4381. Nobody says whether the bar takes bookings or booked ahead.
