Sinsa Odeng

신사오뎅 Odeng is the Korean word for Japanese-style fish cakes simmered in broth; the posts do not explain what Sinsa refers to.

Compiled from 10 blog posts read in fullSources →

Sinsa Odeng is a fish-cake bar in a side alley of the Okjeong central shopping area in Yangju, unit 106 of Dream Tower 2. Each seat has a steel well of broth where you warm the fish cakes you pick, alongside skewers, gyoza, fried snacks, sake, highballs and soju. Single fish cakes were 2,000-3,000 won each (March 2026), the skewer assortment 17,000 won and Osaka gyoza 8,900 won (June 2026), and the Sinsa set 34,000 won (October 2026). Of the 11 posts that went, six came for a second round after dinner; four went with friends and three with a spouse or partner. We read 13 posts from May 2025 to October 2026; 11 describe a visit (one was about the barbecue place next door and was dropped, and one gave nothing we could count as a visit).

Rows without a count: 4 of 6 posts.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. You order from a tablet at the table; four posts said so, with the menu split into tabs such as small plates, fried dishes, light snacks and sake. Two posts mention a minimum for the first order but disagree on the amount: one says at least 20,000 won, the other 15,000 won excluding drinks. Both visited in June 2026.
  2. Six posts got something free through the receipt-review event: a highball in three, shrimp fish-cake crisps in two, and five shabu fish cakes in one. One post cancelled its highball order and took the free one instead. Three posts also mention a pull-up challenge that earns a beer and a Polaroid photo event.
  3. There are both counter seats and tables; four posts said so. One group of three found the main room full and was seated side by side at an inner bar; another post describes a two-seat spot by the entrance facing the window. Four posts said the room is small.
  4. No post reports waiting. Two went after 9 pm on a Friday or late on a weekday and found it quiet. A regular wrote that it is sometimes full late at night and they go elsewhere, and another noticed it filling up near closing.

  1. Three posts found the staff kind. Two of them had been drinking water from the glass meant for broth until a server explained it.

Getting inside

Toilet insideyes 0 · no 2 (of 10 posts read)
Separate restrooms1 of 10 posts

Only one post mentions the floor, saying it is on the ground floor off an alley.

We don't know whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller fits; nobody wrote about it. One post notes a wooden deck in front of the door.

The restroom is the building's shared one outside the bar; two posts said so, one adding that it is split by gender and the other calling it a small letdown.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 11 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Nobody wrote about getting there by subway or bus. One post warns that it is tucked into a lane between buildings, not on the main road.
  • Opening hours appear in six posts, all copied from the listing, and they agree: Monday to Thursday 5:30 pm to 2 am, Friday 5:30 pm to 4 am, Saturday 4:30 pm to 4 am, Sunday 4:30 pm to 2 am, with last orders an hour before closing. No post mentions a closing day.
  • No post says what a full outing cost. Item prices appear in only three posts, all from 2026, so we can't tell whether prices changed since 2025.
  • Six posts give the same phone number, 0507-1341-8375, but none says whether the bar takes reservations.
  • One March 2026 post is an advertisement for a nearby adult shop, with every photo taken from the listing and nothing about what was eaten, so we didn't count it.
