Radori Maratang

라돌이마라탕 Malatang is the Sichuan-style numbing, spicy soup the shop is built around; the posts give no meaning for 'Radori', which reads as a brand nickname.

A malatang shop in a new building next to Lotteria at Saeteo-ro 5, Okjeong-dong, Yangju. You fill a basket at the self-serve bar, it is priced by weight, and you set the heat, numbing oil and peanut sauce at the kiosk. A post from October 2025 gives 2,000 won per 100 g for the soup (7,000 won minimum) and 3,000 won per 100 g for the stir-fry (15,000 won minimum); sides include guobaorou, dim sum and cream shrimp. We read 13 posts from 7 September 2025 to 24 July 2026; 9 of them describe actually eating there. The rest are one delivery post, one passing mention and two start-up diaries written by the owner.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Ordering is done at a kiosk, according to six posts. One writer explains that you set the basket on the kiosk and it weighs it and shows the price; that day 445 g of soup came to 8,900 won and 590 g of stir-fry to 17,700 won. Two posts say the owner stepped in to walk them through it on a first visit.
  2. There is a counter for solo diners alongside regular tables, according to six posts. A September 2025 post counted four or five four-person tables, and another said the solo counter means nobody feels awkward eating alone.
  3. Eight posts call it clean, and they say why: the water in the ingredient tubs was clear and the tubs were full, tables, floor and self-serve bar were tidy, and the kitchen is open to view. Several also point out it is a new building that opened in September 2025.
  4. Three posts found the malatang milder than expected; one ordered level 1.5 and called it far too tame, adding that staff likened level 1 to Shin Ramyun. One post split the difference: the soup wasn't hot, but the rosé stir-fry felt hotter at the same level.

Parking

4 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park4 of 9 posts

Four posts parked there themselves. The building's underground car park, the vacant lot beside it and the street behind the shop come up again and again. One family didn't know about the underground car park and used the lot, noting the space isn't huge but there's plenty of room nearby.

Where it is

Map showing where Radori Maratang is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

No post says from experience which floor the shop is on; only the address says ground floor. That means nobody wrote it down, not that it's unknown to be so.

We don't know whether there is a step at the entrance or whether wheelchairs and strollers can get in. Two posts went with children and one mentions high chairs, but none describes the way in.

No post mentions the toilets, so we don't know whether they are inside the shop or separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 13 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Opening hours vary by period. Three posts from September–October 2025 give 11:00–21:30 daily; two from December 2025 on give a 22:30 close with last orders at 22:00 (one says 23:00). Opening time also splits: two posts say 10:00, five say 11:00. No post mentions a closing day.
  • Because pricing is by weight, the cost of a meal depends on how much you load up. Only one post, from October 2025, gives per-gram prices, and one puts a typical meal in the mid-10,000s of won per person. Free beef around the September 2025 opening and free rice in March 2026 were promotions, so current prices may differ.
  • Only two posts touch on waiting. One family, visiting the day after Chuseok, was seated straight away; another, at 4 p.m. on a September 2025 Sunday, found a steady stream of customers and only guessed a queue would form soon. No post describes actually queuing.
  • No post explains how to get there by bus or subway. All we have are locals saying it's a three- or five-minute walk from nearby apartments, and one family who drove 35 minutes.
  • The phone number 031-928-5004 appears in only one post, and no post says whether the shop takes reservations.
  • Two of the 13 posts are the owner's own start-up diary, and one post that calls itself self-paid carries the same Naver review-count widget as the owner's post and promotes the owner's review giveaway of 100 g of beef. No post discloses sponsorship, but read with that in mind.
