PHOINI

포아이니 Poaini Phoini is a pun joining pho with the Mandarin wo ai ni ('I love you'); the shop's own page greets visitors with '포아이니, 워아이니!'.

Compiled from 26 blog posts read in fullSources →

A Vietnamese pho shop on the second floor of the Pastel City building (next to CGV) in Okjeong's central shopping district, Yangju. The basic brisket pho is 9,800 won, 7,900 won at weekday lunch. There are more than ten kinds of pho plus pad thai, bun cha, nasi goreng and fried rice. You order and pay on a tablet at the table and fetch side dishes and water (jasmine tea) from a self-serve bar. We read 30 posts from February 2025 to October 2026, 26 of them from people who ate there. Hours changed around summer 2026: it now opens only at lunch on Mondays and closes one Tuesday a month; before that it closed every Monday.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Something arrives before you order anything else. Of the 26 posts by diners, 22 mention a free small spring roll and a tiny glass of yuzu drink, served in something like a soju or mini beer glass. One post got youtiao instead of the roll, and one recalled orange juice.
  2. You don't flag down staff to order. Ten posts ordered and paid on the table tablet. Two posts note there are two self-serve bars, near the door and near the kitchen, with more sides and sauces at the kitchen one. Coriander, posts say, has to be requested from staff.
  3. Of 16 posts that discussed portions, 12 called them generous — one couldn't finish the bowl — and several note free extra noodles. Two said the noodles were plentiful but the meat was thin on top.
  4. No one wrote about waiting. Five posts found it quiet — but they came just after 11 a.m., after 1 p.m., at 1:40 on a weekend, or early in the evening. Nobody reported on the noon rush.

  1. Ten posts got a sweet-potato roll, jimagu or similar through the receipt-review event. Two posts describe a first-anniversary half-price sale on five signature phos, 23 to 28 September 2025.

Parking

5 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park5 of 26 posts

Five posts parked in the building's underground garage; two had their parking validated at the counter by giving their plate number, and one fit a large SUV. One found weekdays easy but expected weekends to be crowded with clinic traffic. The '3 hours free' figure appears only in copied info blocks or hearsay, so we don't rely on it.

Getting inside

Second floor10 of 26 posts
In a basementyes 0 · no 10 (of 26 posts read)
Lift to the floor2 of 26 posts

Ten posts place the shop on the building's second floor. Two mention the lift; one said there are two but they're slow and suggested the stairs.

No one said whether there's a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in. We only know it's on the second floor with a lift. That's unknown, not absent.

No post said where the toilet is or whether it's separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 30 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Hours depend on when the post was written. Seven posts up to May 2026 say it closed every Monday; from July 2026 posts say it opens Mondays from 10:30 for lunch only and closes one Tuesday a month. Which Tuesday splits three (fourth), two (last), one (fifth), and Monday closing splits 14:00 in five posts versus 15:00 in one. Other days run 10:30 to 22:00, last order 21:00, with no break. Check before you go.
  • Some prices went up: the spicy brisket pho was 10,500 won in September 2025 and 10,800 won in May and October 2026. One post gives the tomato pho at 12,500 won where three say 12,000. The basic brisket pho stayed at 9,800 won; no one called the place expensive and six posts called it good value.
  • No one described getting there by subway or bus. Posts use 'the building next to CGV Yangju Okjeong' as the landmark, and several came by car.
  • Two posts describe Phoini as a franchise chain with branches nationwide, so the menu and perks may not be unique to this branch.
  • Six posts give the same phone number, 0507-1351-7306. One post said Naver booking is available; nobody wrote about booking by phone.
  • Four of the 30 posts aren't counted: two drain-cleaning ads about this shop's kitchen pipes, one delivery meal eaten at home, and a pharmacy blog that pasted the shop's blurb. No post disclosed sponsorship; nine said they paid their own way.
