Noran Doyaji

노란도야지 Noran doyaji means 'yellow piggy' — doyaji is a regional word for dwaeji, pig; the registered name adds 이공일육, the digits two-zero-one-six read one by one.

Compiled from 27 blog posts read in fullSources →

Noran Doyaji is a pork barbecue house on the second floor of the Centa Plaza building in central Okjeong, Yangju. You order rib-side belly, pork neck or belly by the 400g board or in 100g units, a staff member grills it at your table from start to finish, and each table gets one free kimchi stew. Current prices, from August–September 2026 posts, run 12,000–13,500 won per 100g and 45,000–49,000 won per 400g board; posts from October–November 2025 paid 42,000 won for 400g of rib belly or neck. We read 30 posts from October 2025 to October 2026: 2 were about other places and set aside, 1 gave nothing we could count as a visit, and the other 27 describe actual visits.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.

What sets it apart

  1. Staff grill the meat for you: 25 of the 27 visits say so, and the other two simply don't discuss the grilling. Several posts describe finished pieces being parked on thin potato slices so they don't burn, with white kimchi or aged kimchi grilled alongside. One writer says the griller stayed at the table the whole time; another says they stepped back while the meat cooked, so conversation wasn't awkward. Nearly every post mentions the rock-paper-scissors game with the griller, where winning gets you a free bottle of soju or a soft drink, and two say the staff lost to their child on purpose.
  2. Some visits wait and some don't: 8 posts mention a line, 5 walked straight in. Only one gives a time — about 30 minutes at dinner. The posts that didn't wait went around 5 p.m., on a quiet afternoon, or on a weekday, and one writer went twice without ever waiting. There is a CatchTable sign-up machine at the door, and 3 posts mention chairs to wait on. Five posts either booked ahead and were seated at once or noticed reserved signs on the tables.
  3. Many visits came with children: 9 posts brought kids and 8 mention high chairs. One family had a high chair, child cutlery and seaweed for the child set out as soon as they sat down, and several got free grilling cheese for bringing children. Posts also mention aprons against grease spatter and plastic bags for coats.

Parking

8 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park8 of 27 posts

Parking is in the building's underground garage; 8 posts parked there themselves. One says there are plenty of spaces if you come straight after work, another hit a queue for parking even on a weekday evening, and one advises telling the counter when you leave. Claims that it's free, or that street parking is fine after 8 p.m., appear only in copied info blocks, so we didn't count them.

Getting inside

Second floor9 of 27 posts
In a basementyes 0 · no 9 (of 27 posts read)
Lift to the floor3 of 27 posts

The restaurant is on the building's second floor — 9 posts mention it from their own visit, and 3 mention the elevator. One post notes, in a copied info block, that there is a Baskin-Robbins on the ground floor.

No post says whether there is a step at the entrance or whether anyone came in with a wheelchair or stroller. Posts mention taking the elevator to the second floor, but that only means nobody wrote about it, not that access is step-free.

No post says whether the restroom is inside the restaurant or separated by gender. We don't know.

No one mentioned: Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 28 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Five posts say there is a minimum for the first order, but they disagree on the amount: two October 2025 posts say two servings, a December 2025 post says a 400g board, and two October 2026 posts say 300g and 200g respectively.
  • Opening hours seem to have changed twice. Posts from October–December 2025 say Monday–Saturday 11:30 until midnight or 1 a.m. with a 3–5 p.m. break; posts from July to early September 2026 say 11:30–23:00. The four posts from 17 September 2026 on say weekdays now open at 16:00 (one post on 9 October still lists 11:30). Weekend closing splits two to two between 22:00 and 23:00 on Saturdays. No post mentions a closing day. These times are mostly copied info blocks, so check before you go.
  • Prices have gone up. Posts from October–November 2025 paid 42,000 won for 400g of rib belly or neck and 10,000 won per 100g of house belly; July–August 2026 posts list 49,000 won for 400g of rib belly, 48,000 won for 400g of neck and 12,000 won per 100g of belly. Two posts give a whole bill: 58,000 won for two friends (thick neck plus noodles and a cola) and 78,000 won for a couple with a baby (dropwort belly, neck, noodles and cheese). Four posts mention a monthly 10% coupon for adding the KakaoTalk channel.
  • The menu has changed: four posts from October–December 2025 had cold noodles (7,000 won), but a visit in April 2026 found no naengmyeon and ordered aged-kimchi somyeon instead, and naengmyeon doesn't appear in any later post. Rib belly, flower neck and dropwort are limited, and several posts found them sold out late in the day.
  • No post arrived by bus or subway — only by car, plus one remark that locals could walk — so we don't know what getting there by public transport is like.
  • Many posts list the same phone number, 0507-1470-3423. People booked through Naver or CatchTable, and one called ahead on the way to ask whether rib belly was still available.
  • Some posts look like commissioned copy: several from July–October 2026 list the menu prices and freebies (kimchi stew, fruit self-bar, rock-paper-scissors, hangover jelly, shaved ice) in the same order without saying whether they were sponsored. Only 7 of the 27 visits say they paid their own way, and one writer says their first visit was a sponsored review. Lines like 'we chose the second floor to save on rent' or '10 years in business' come from the shop or from hearsay, so we didn't rely on them.
