Kkorichineun Bada

꼬리치는바다 Kkorichineun bada means 'the tail-wagging sea' — a playful picture of live fish flicking their tails.

Compiled from 10 blog posts read in fullSources →

A sashimi house on the R6 food street in Okjeong-dong, Yangju. People come for assorted or flatfish sashimi, and in autumn for live prawns and salt-roasted prawns; ordering sashimi brings a spread of free side dishes. Two 2026 posts put the small assorted platter at 30,000 won. It does a lot of delivery, and two posts mention delivery orders coming in the whole time they sat there. We read 13 posts from February 2025 to October 2026; 10 describe eating there, two describe delivery, and one copies the menu.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.

What sets it apart

  1. All 10 visitors wrote about the free spread that comes with sashimi. In 2026 that meant grilled mackerel, seaweed soup and corn cheese, and the mackerel's size came up again and again: one post contrasts it with the two little saury other places give, and another boxed it up for the next day's lunch. Two 2025 posts describe mussel soup and fried flatfish instead.
  2. You order from your seat: three posts used a tablet or kiosk. Two mention a self-serve bar for extra greens and side dishes, and one of them only found it after asking staff for refills.
  3. Seven of the 10 visitors called it cheap or good value; nobody called it expensive. Two got abalone or sea squirt free through the review event.

The most ordered dish is Siljangnim modeumhoe (실장님 모둠회) — 5 of 10 posts.

The prices here are what bloggers wrote down in their posts, and they may have changed since. Check Naver Place for the current menu and prices. This list is not a menu board — it counts what bloggers actually ordered and ate. Check on Naver Place

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Separate restrooms1 of 10 posts

No post says whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in. One post says it is on the ground floor.

Two posts mention the restroom: one says outside the shop and separated by gender, the other says inside the building. We can't tell if both mean inside the building but outside the shop.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 13 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Prices vary across posts. The small assorted platter was 25,000 won in a February 2025 delivery post, 30,000 in two posts from August–September 2026, and 28,000 in a copied menu. We don't know whether delivery and dine-in prices match, and no post gives a total bill.
  • Speed splits two to one: two posts say food came quickly, while a September 2026 post waited a long time and noted the owner was no longer around.
  • Two posts found the room spacious; one 2025 post found it smaller than expected. Two mention outdoor tables.
  • No one reports actually queuing. One post advises arriving before 5:30 pm on peak weekends but doesn't say it waited; several mention a busy room.
  • No post covers getting there by subway or bus; they only place it by nearby apartment complexes. That means nobody wrote about it, not that it's hard to reach.
  • Company doesn't settle into a pattern: one post came with friends, one with a daughter, who happily peeled live prawns by hand.
  • Six posts list opening hours, and they disagree on the start: four say 15:30, two from September–October 2026 say 15:00. All six close at 1 am. Five say it's closed Mondays; one says it's open daily. Most of these were copied from listing blocks.
  • Three posts give the same phone number, 0504-0544-1542. Reservations appear only in one copied info block; no visitor booked ahead.
