Kkangdon

깡돈 Don reads as 'pork' (豚), fitting a pork specialty-cuts house; the posts give no meaning for kkang, which also names the sets (1-kkang, 3-kkang).

Compiled from 6 blog posts read in fullSources →

A pork specialty-cuts grill on the ground floor inside Okjeong's R6 housing block in Yangju. Cheek, neck, jowl, intestine and dwitgogi go on a charcoal grill at the table; two posts put the 1-kkang set (intestine, dwitgogi, neck) at 35,000 won. All six posts from actual visits say side dishes come from a self bar. The noodle to finish is milmyeon, not naengmyeon. We read 7 posts from October 2025 to June 2026, 6 of them from visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. All six visit posts mention the self bar: the first serving of sides is small (one post wished it were larger), and you top up green-onion kimchi, cucumber kimchi, tofu-kimchi and sauces yourself. Two posts singled out the green-onion kimchi.
  2. Four posts call it clean. One noticed the drinks fridge lined up with military precision; two said the air was not greasy or smoky for a barbecue place.
  3. Two posts say the front windows open up so the window tables feel half outdoors — one likened it to a street tent bar.
  4. Three posts call it good value and none call it expensive. Two say portions are large; one said the 500 g 1-kkang set left no room for sides.

Posts saying you can park3 of 6 posts

Three posts say there is a small parking area right out front; one adds that people park along the neighbouring shopfronts when it is full. No one says how many cars it holds.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 1 (of 6 posts read)
Toilet insideyes 0 · no 1 (of 6 posts read)

Only one post mentions from experience that it is on the ground floor.

We don't know about the entrance step or wheelchair and stroller access. One post lists wheelchair access, but it is copied from the listing, not observed.

One post says the toilet is outside — exit and go left around the building, with the door code posted by the entrance. Whether it is split by gender we don't know.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 7 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • One post differs: visiting in the Chuseok rush of October 2025, just after opening, it found the meat unremarkable and the staff flustered. Another recalled a busy September 2025 night when they had to ask after their order. Later posts (two) praise the service.
  • Some posts share wording: two use the same 'usually barbecue air is…' and 'milmyeon, not naengmyeon' lines in the same order, and two others follow the same 'specialty-cuts restaurant in the R6 housing block' recommendation template. None discloses sponsorship. One of them has no photos and only promotes, so we did not count it.
  • No post describes getting there by subway or bus; we don't know.
  • Two posts walked straight in — one early evening over Chuseok, one around 8:30 pm on a Saturday. The latter suggests calling ahead at peak times, but whether bookings are taken we don't know.
  • Only one post says who they came with (a husband). One suggests it would suit children, but no post went with kids.
  • Three posts give the hours as 11:00 to 01:00 daily, but all three copied them from the listing; one adds last orders at 00:30.
  • The only price in the posts is 35,000 won for the 1-kkang set, given twice. Single-cut prices, other sets and the cost per person are unknown.
  • Two posts give the phone as 0507-1329-7481 and one gives 010-9479-7481; whether phone bookings are taken is unknown.
