Jjukkumi Daetongnyeong Okjeong-jeom
쭈꾸미대통령 옥정점 Jjukkumi is webfoot octopus and daetongnyeong means president, so the name reads 'Octopus President'; this is the Okjeong branch of a shop bloggers know from Uijeongbu.

A sizzling-plate webfoot octopus restaurant on the ground floor of Okjeong Main Tower in the Okjeong central shopping district of Yangju, the local branch of a chain known from Uijeongbu. You pick spicy octopus (16,000 won), octopus with pork belly or shrimp (17,000) or with beef intestine (18,000) per portion at one of three heat levels; staff stir-fry it at your table and finish with flying-fish-roe fried rice for 4,000 won. We read 30 posts from September 2025 to October 2026; 4 were about the Uijeongbu shop and were set aside, 2 were a delivery post and one we could not verify. 24 describe visits, from April to October 2026.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- You do not cook. 21 posts say staff or the owner did all the stirring, adding bean sprouts and glass noodles once the octopus is nearly done, then scooping out sauce and melting butter for the fried rice. Writer after writer reports being asked whether they want lots of roe; one asked for a normal amount.
- Corn cheese, bean sprouts and glass noodles are refilled: 12 posts mention it, several saying staff offered fresh corn cheese before they asked (one counted about three times). Sprouts and noodles carry no extra charge.
- There is outdoor seating in front: 6 posts mention it, including one that sat outside because the dining room was full on an October Sunday evening and one that chose it on a cool July night. One counted about two outdoor tables.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 5 (of 24 posts read) |
|---|
It is on the ground floor; 5 posts say so. Many used the building's basement car park, commonly two hours free once staff register your plate. Two warn that navigation to the street address leads to the wrong side — search for Okjeong Main Tower instead.
We do not know about steps at the entrance or wheelchair and stroller access — not that there are problems, just that nobody wrote about it. 3 posts went with children.
We do not know whether the toilet is inside the shop. 'Separate men's and women's toilets in the building' appears only in copied info blocks; nobody described it first-hand.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 26 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Waiting is split: 2 posts waited (one was turned away on an earlier visit), 2 walked straight in. A sign at the door asks you to give staff your name, party size and phone number when full; you are skipped after two calls. 5 posts say food came quickly.
- Most found it roomy: 5 posts say spacious, one called it compact. Table counts given were 8–10, about 10 and 9–10, all round iron-plate tables.
- Nobody described getting there by train or bus; posts only say it is near Okjeong Lake Park.
- 20 posts give the same hours, daily 12:00–24:00 with last order at 23:00, though some copy Naver's listing; 2 say there is no closing day. The phone number 031-866-0430 is widely quoted, but 'reservations available' appears only in copied blocks and nobody wrote about booking by phone. Prices match between the April 2026 menu board and August posts; one table of three paid 65,000 won for three portions of jjusam, extra intestine and fried rice.
- 12 visit posts landed between 8 and 16 August 2026, repeating the same points in the same order (in business since 2014, the rock-paper-scissors drink game, free dumplings for a review); 2 of them disclose sponsorship. 'Since 2014' is the shop's own line and we did not count it. Of the 8 posts praising friendly staff, 2 are sponsored.
- Company is spread out: 6 posts with family, 4 as a couple, 4 with friends. Nobody went alone.
