A gamjatang (pork-backbone stew) and haejangguk house on the ground floor of Okjeong Main Tower in Okjeong's central shopping district, Yangju, opened in July 2026. We read 13 posts dated 26 February to 16 September 2026; two were about other restaurants, and the remaining 11 are all visits made after the opening, between 15 July and 16 September. Pots come in cabbage-green, aged-kimchi, green-onion-kimchi or mustard-kimchi broth, or half-and-half, from 38,000 won for a small (39,000 for half-and-half or mustard kimchi); single bowls of haejangguk are 11,000 won on the bone, 12,000 boneless. You choose mild, medium or hot; posts describe staff cutting the bones at the table, then a five-minute timer once it boils, and fried rice in the leftover broth (3,000-4,000 won) to finish.

What sets it apart
- Portion size is the most consistent point: ten of the eleven visits said the servings were large. One post said a small cabbage-green pot was enough for three adults; a couple who shared a small half-and-half were startled by the size; another was surprised by how much meat came in an 11,000-won bowl. The steamed egg is the exception: one post found it very small.
- Kkakdugi, white kimchi and pickled radish arrive first; after that you help yourself at the side-dish bar. Ten posts mention refilling there, and two also found coffee or hot water and tea set out free alongside the aprons.
- Ordering is on a tablet at each table, as six posts note; one liked not having to flag anyone down for extra noodles, another suggested reading the big wall menu first if tablets are unfamiliar. Posts keep mentioning disposable gloves, hand mirrors and floss on the tables, and three noted phone stands.
- Easy with children: six posts saw high chairs (one counted three by the door), and three ate there with kids. Several pointed to the mild spice option and children's dishes such as earthen-pot bulgogi, roe rice balls and crispy bulgogi.

We do not know whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in; one copied listing block says accessible facilities, but no one describes it. One post says the restaurant is on the ground floor of the tower.
Only one post mentions the toilets: separate men's and women's, located in the building outside the restaurant itself. No one else says anything.

What we do not know
- Drink prices have changed: July 2026 posts list soju at 2,000 won as an opening promotion, while posts from 23 August and 11 September say all alcohol is now 3,000. Food prices come only from the July menu; we do not know whether they have moved since.
- Opening hours here are all copied listing blocks, and they disagree. Eight give 11:00-23:00, one says 10:00. The break is mostly 15:00-17:00; two posts shorten it to 15:00-16:00 at weekends, one gives 15:00-16:00 throughout. Two July posts say closed Sundays and two from August on say closed Mondays, which looks like a change of rest day, though we could not confirm it. Four give last orders at 22:00.
- Only one post discloses sponsorship; the other ten say nothing. But they cluster in the two months after opening and walk through the same items in nearly the same order (gloves, mirrors and phone stands on the tables, the side-dish bar, the review promotion, the how-to-eat sign), which looks like commissioned copy. Read the counts above with that in mind.
- No post describes getting there by train or bus; they only say it faces the main road and is easy to find, and one local couple walked.
