Hongkong Banjeom 0410 Yangju Okjeong-jeom

홍콩반점0410 양주옥정점 Hongkong Banjeom literally means 'Hong Kong Chinese eatery' (banjeom is an old Korean word for a Chinese restaurant); 0410 belongs to the chain's brand name, and this is its Yangju Okjeong branch.

The Yangju Okjeong branch of Hongkong Banjeom 0410, a Theborn Korea Chinese-food franchise, on the ground floor of a commercial block in Okjeong-dong's R6 area (25 Okjeongdong-ro 5-gil). Posts from May 2025 describe it as newly opened. You order and pay up front on a tablet at your table, fetch pickled radish, onion and water from a self-service bar, and return your dishes yourself. Recorded prices: black-bean noodles 6,500 won (2025); jjamppong 8,000, black-bean rice 8,000 and mini sweet-and-sour pork 13,800 won (July 2026). We read 30 posts dated 2 March 2025 to 3 October 2026; 13 describe eating at this branch. We set aside 8 that were about other branches or other shops; the other 9 are a delivery review and promotional store lists.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Ordering is done on the tablet at each table: 9 of the 13 visit posts say so, and one notes that you pay at the moment you order. Posts mention choosing sauce-on or sauce-on-the-side for the pork and rice-on-the-side for jjamppong rice on the tablet. Side dishes and water come from a self-service bar, and you clear your own tray to the return counter.
  2. 11 of the 13 visit posts call the shop clean, mostly noting that it had just opened. Four posts mention that cutlery, condiments, tissues and wet wipes are kept in a drawer or under each table.
  3. The kitchen is visible from the dining room, according to three posts: one through a wide square window, another through a big pane where you can watch the cooks. One enjoyed seeing flames leap from the woks.
  4. The chilli jjamppong is genuinely hot: four posts call a dish spicy (three the chilli jjamppong or its rice version, one the shrimp Toowoomba). One post said the few chillies on the pork jjamppong had no heat at all.

  1. Three posts found portions generous (a small sweet-and-sour pork that was still large, a set portion called huge, a hearty large black-bean noodles). One post felt the large size was only about 1.2 times the regular.

The prices here are what bloggers wrote down in their posts, and they may have changed since. Check Naver Place for the current menu and prices. This list is not a menu board — it counts what bloggers actually ordered and ate. Check on Naver Place

Parking

3 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park3 of 13 posts

There is no mention of a dedicated car park; people park on the street out front. Three posts say they did so, and one says the shop has no lot of its own but street parking in the side lanes is always available. Posts that only copied a 'parking available' line were not counted.

Where it is

Map showing where Hongkong Banjeom 0410 Yangju Okjeong-jeom is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

No one described the floor from experience. The address says ground floor, but no post mentions steps or a basement - that means nobody wrote about it, not that there are none.

We don't know about the entrance step or wheelchair and stroller access; no post mentions it. Two posts say baby chairs and children's tableware are available.

No post says whether the toilet is inside the shop or separated by gender. We don't know.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 22 posts we gathered, 9 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2025-05-153 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Only one post mentions waiting: a May 2025 post says there is occasionally a queue at lunch. No one wrote that they actually queued. Two posts noted the room was fairly busy at dinner.
  • No post describes getting there by train or bus. One post drove; others place it in the middle of Okjeong-dong's R6 district, along the line of the Jadewell complex main gate.
  • Three posts went with a spouse and one with friends. None said they went alone.
  • Ten posts give opening hours, mostly copied from the shop listing. Nine say it opens at 10:30 and one (May 2025) at 10:00; all say it closes at 21:30, and the six that list a last order all say 21:00. The afternoon break was 15:30-16:40 in two June 2025 posts and 15:30-16:30 in four later ones. Posts up to August 2025 say it opens daily; three from December 2025 on say it is closed on Mondays. Check before you go.
  • Prices vary over time. The mini sweet-and-sour pork was 11,800 won in a February 2026 post and 13,800 won in July 2026 (one post each); a budget size was 12,000 won in June 2025. Two 2025 posts list black-bean noodles at 6,500 won; no one recorded a 2026 price. For a full meal, a July 2026 post saw a noodles, dumplings, drink and rice set for 8,500 won at the entrance. Posts from May to December 2025 include promotional prices such as 3,900-won noodles and 8,900-won combos, which aren't the usual prices.
  • Seven posts give the phone number 070-7803-0410, all copied from the listing. No one wrote about booking by phone; one post copied a 'reservations available' line.
  • The menu has grown: a 19 May 2025 post said only the basics were available at opening, and posts from December 2025 and January 2026 mention the new shrimp Toowoomba jjamppong. Seven posts that copied Theborn Korea's May 2025 discount-event table merely list this branch among participating stores; we did not use them as evidence.
