하이바 옥정점 Haiba Okjeong-jeom Haiba is short for 'highball bar' — a highball specialist chain styled as a Japanese izakaya.

Haiba Okjeong is a highball bar in the Okjeong central shopping district of Yangju, done up like a Japanese izakaya, where you order on your phone via a table QR code or NFC tag. Highballs were 8,000 won in a May 2025 post and most snacks ran 6,000-12,000 won; many visitors came here as a second stop. It now closes on Tuesdays and serves fried spaghetti sticks as the free snack, but posts through June 2025 describe daily 17:00-03:00 hours and colored puffed crackers. We read 23 posts from December 2024 to August 2026; four were about other places and one was a write-up without a visit, leaving 18 visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- You order on your phone; 13 posts said so. Through May 2025 that meant tapping an NFC tag, and one post said a Galaxy phone would not read it. From an April 2025 visit on, posts scanned a table QR code; an August 2026 post said both work. One post recalled a paper menu in the early days.
- A free snack arrives when you sit down; 10 posts mentioned it and three got refills. Through May 2025 it was colored puffed crackers; from January 2026 it is fried spaghetti sticks with a ramen-seasoning dust, which one January 2026 visitor called the best thing of the night.
- Three posts found the grilled pollock roe salty, one saying it was hard to eat without the mayo and cucumber, another ordering extra cucumber four times (1,500 won each). One post disagreed, saying the thick-cut cucumber made it just right. A fourth post found the beef and bean sprout stir-fry salty.
- Five posts described both bar seats and two- and four-person tables. Two said pairs are seated at the bar; a group sat at a table. Three called the room spacious, one said the tables are a bit close together.

Only one post spoke from experience, saying the writer parks right out front every day. Four posts copied an info line about the Poly Plaza 2 underground garage, which we did not count. Nobody mentioned fees or free time.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
1 posts say it is walkable from the station.
Getting inside
No post said from experience which floor the bar is on; there is only unit 105 in the address.
Nobody mentioned steps at the entrance or wheelchair or stroller access. That is unknown, not a no.
We do not know whether the restroom is inside. One post only pointed the way; another's info line said to use the building's restroom, which we did not count. Nobody said whether it is gender-separated.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 19 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Five posts called it cheap and one found the snacks poor value for the price; one table had four highballs, a bottle of soju and three dishes for under 60,000 won. Prices have risen: honey tomatoes went from 11,000 won in January 2025 to 14,000 in January 2026, and the pollock roe from 10,500 to 11,000.
- Hours have changed. Nine posts from December 2024 to June 2025 all gave daily 17:00-03:00 with last order at 02:00. 2026 posts add a closing day — Tuesday in two, Monday in one from January 2026 — and an August 2026 post lists Fri-Sat 17:00-04:00, Sun-Mon 18:00-02:00, Wed-Thu 19:00-02:00. All of these are copied info lines, so check before going.
- Eight posts listed the phone number 0507-1406-9590, but nobody said whether reservations are taken. That is unknown, not a no.
- No post described waiting. One group squeezed in until staff moved them, another found a free table on a weekend when nearby bars were full. We do not know how long waits get at peak times.
- Only one post covered transit: an express bus stop home is right nearby. Nobody said how far it is from a station.
- Noise is mixed: an August 2026 visitor remembered loud Japanese music before but found it quiet on return; another said it depends on the crowd. One post noted that only Japanese songs play.
