Giwa Jeonjip is a jeon (Korean fritter) house in the R6 block of Okjeong-dong, Yangju. People come for assorted jeon, half-and-half platters and beef yukjeon with hotpots and soups, drunk with makgeolli; it opens at 4 p.m. The small assorted platter was 19,000 won in May–June 2025 posts and 21,000 won in May 2026, and sets ran 24,000–34,000 won. We read 30 posts from March 2025 to October 2026; 26 record an actual meal there. We set aside two takeout posts and one check-in with no meal, and dropped one post about another restaurant.

What sets it apart
- Portions are the most repeated point: 14 of the 26 visits said so, mostly about the small assorted platter — one wondered if it was really the small size, another thought they had been served a medium. Several describe ten kinds of jeon stacked on a whole kimchi pancake.
- Nine posts called it cheap and none called it expensive; the May–June 2025 posts keep marveling at a small platter for under 20,000 won.
- Waits are mixed: six posts waited, three walked straight in. Rainy days come up again and again — one couple arrived an hour after opening in the rain and still queued. Only one post gave numbers: five parties ahead at 5:10 p.m., about 25 minutes. One group left their name, walked around, and were called back; a January 2026 post mentions a sign-up spot at the entrance.
- Five posts say food is slow because each jeon is fried to order; several also watched a steady stream of delivery and pickup orders going out.

No post describes which floor it is on or any stairs. That doesn't mean there's no basement or upper floor — nobody wrote about it.
Nobody mentioned an entrance step or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. We don't know.
Three posts say the restroom is inside the restaurant; one was glad not to go outside in winter.
Two posts say the restroom is shared by men and women; none described separate ones.

Of the 29 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Opinions split three to three: roomy, well-spaced tables versus a small room. One January 2026 post counted six four-seat tables and one two-seat table, a July 2026 post guessed about ten, and one couple sat at a bar table.
- Prices went up. The small platter went from 19,000 won (May–June 2025) to 21,000 won (May 2026); the large from 26,000 won (June 2025 menu) to 28,000 won (January 2026). We only know the change came between June 2025 and January 2026. One June 2025 post put the beef-and-whelk set at 34,000 won where others say 33,000.
- Nineteen posts give the same hours: 4 p.m. to midnight, closed Sundays — though many copied this from the map listing. Last order at 11 p.m. appears in only two posts (December 2025 and January 2026).
- One post booked ahead — a group of seven, via Instagram DM. Eleven posts list the phone as 0507-1419-9502, while two 2026 posts give 031-865-9500; we can't tell which one is answered now.
- No post arrived by bus or subway. One took a taxi (20,000 won round trip) and one simply recommended public transport; we don't know which stop or how far the walk is.
- About ten posts from May–June 2025 repeat the same points in the same order — embassy-trained chef, all jeon handmade, no seats on rainy days, outdoor tables — and recommend it for year-end parties in June. Only one says it was sponsored. We counted their meals and prices, but treated the chef's embassy background and the claim about never reusing frying oil as the restaurant's own marketing, not evidence.
