Geosigi Dakgalbi Okjeong-jeom
거시기닭갈비 옥정점 Geosigi is a Korean filler word for something you can't quite name, much like 'whatchamacallit'; dakgalbi is spicy chicken stir-fried on an iron plate.

An iron-plate dakgalbi restaurant in the R6 residential block of Okjeong-dong, Yangju. Boneless thigh-meat dakgalbi is 15,000 won for a 300 g portion; staff stir it at the table and then pipe sweet-potato mousse over cheese on one side of the plate (5,000 won extra). Fried rice (2,000 won) finishes the meal, with buckwheat noodles and soy-egg rice on the side. We read 30 posts dated 11 December 2025 to 13 October 2026; 19 are first-hand visits. Ten were about the Minrak (Uijeongbu) and Deokjeong branches of the same name or a neighbouring shop, and we did not count them.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Staff do the cooking. Twelve posts say a server or the owner came by to stir the plate; you keep it moving until they arrive. Two posts say cooking it yourself takes 1,000 won off, and one writer did exactly that.
- All 18 posts that mention quantity call it large; one writer wondered whether it was really a two-person serving. Three pairs say two portions left them too full for the fried rice or made them leave food.
- Eight posts address smell, and all say the chicken has none. Most find the sauce neither very hot nor salty; several suggest the sweet-potato cheese for anyone wanting less heat.

Parking
3 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.
| Posts saying you can park | 3 of 19 posts |
|---|
Fourteen posts touch on parking, but only four describe actually parking: three used the spaces in front or beside, one says the lot was never available and parked on the street. Two warn that evenings and peak hours are hard because it sits in a residential block. The rest only copy a 'parking available' line.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 1 (of 19 posts read) |
|---|
It is at street level: one visitor noted the ground-floor shop has parking right beside and in front of it.
No one mentions an entrance step or wheelchair or stroller access. That means we don't know, not that there is none.
No post says where the toilet is or whether it is separated by sex. We don't know.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 20 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Only one post describes waiting: first in line at an October 2026 dinner peak, with a queue still there when they left. Another says weekends and peaks always have a wait without saying they waited. Two booked through Naver and walked straight in; one noticed waiting chairs out front.
- No one describes getting there by train or bus. Posts only say it is across the crosswalk from Okjeong's central shopping area and walkable from the apartments opposite.
- Prices: dakgalbi is 15,000 won everywhere, but add-on prices differ — two posts from July and August 2026 list noodle, cheese and rice-cake add-ons at 2,000 won, one September post at 3,000 won, and we can't tell whether it rose. Reported bills: 43,000 won for two (two portions, two add-ons, cold noodles), 65,000 won for four (four portions, udon, soy-egg rice), and about 50,000 won for three.
- Hours: 17 posts list them, all copied from listings. All give 11:00–22:00, 13 say closed Wednesdays, and most give a 15:00–17:00 weekday break with last order at 21:00. Two posts with identical wording put last order at 14:30, and one says there is no break on weekends. Check before going.
- Ten posts give the phone number 0507-1419-9295. Two booked through Naver, and posts mention a free-drink coupon for Naver bookings and a receipt-review promotion (free rice cake).
- Five posts say they paid themselves; none of the Okjeong posts discloses sponsorship. Four share the same 'second directly run branch of a three-generation family business' wording, one saying it went 'through a good opportunity' — possibly commissioned, so we treat the family-history story as the shop's own claim and do not count it.
