Dakbal Hong

닭발홍 Dakbal means chicken feet, the house specialty; no post explains Hong, which can read as 'red' or as a family name.

Compiled from 27 blog posts read in fullSources →

Dakbal Hong in Okjeong is a grilled chicken-feet pub on the ground floor (unit 110) of Daegil Plaza in Yangju's Okjeong central shopping district. It opens at 5 pm (4 pm on Sundays). The most-ordered dish is the flame-grilled boneless chicken feet set with steamed egg and rice balls for 25,000 won, eaten in 11 posts. You choose a spice level, pickled radish and seaweed salad come free, and you shape the rice balls yourself with gloves. We read 30 posts from 28 February to 16 August 2026; 27 describe eating in, and the other three are delivery, takeout or introductions only.

Rows without a count: 12 of 19 posts.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Seventeen posts describe a roomy hall or widely spaced tables. Only one post, from March 2026, said the room is not that big, counting seven or eight tables including the wall side.
  2. Eleven posts mention the Naver review promotion: post a photo review and get a soft drink, soju or beer. Two writers took soju, and one explained that you select it under 'receipt event' on the kiosk.
  3. Ten posts say the feet or gizzards had no gamy smell; one contrasted it with street-stall gizzards they remembered as smelly.
  4. Nine posts ordered from a tablet or kiosk; some note you also request extra mayonnaise or call staff from the same screen.

Parking

7 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park7 of 27 posts

Seven posts parked in the building's garage, and four of them say the restaurant validated two hours free. One writer said parking took a while because the building has many shops; another found a long, congested queue for the garage and used the public lot outside instead. Posts suggest navigating to 'Daegil Plaza' or to the neighbouring 'Hong Jjajang'.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 5 (of 27 posts read)

Five posts say the shop is on the ground floor; none mentions a basement or upstairs seating.

We don't know whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller fits; none of the 30 posts said. One post went with a baby but didn't describe getting in.

We don't know whether the toilet is inside the shop. Two posts copy 'separate men's and women's toilets' from a facilities list, but nobody described seeing it.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 30 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • All opening hours come from copied info blocks and they shift over time. Seven posts from late March to 20 June 2026 list Wednesday and Thursday as 5 pm to midnight; seven posts from 15 July say closed every Wednesday. A 4 March post also says Wednesdays closed, so it may have changed more than once. Most list 1 am closing Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, and ten give 4 to 11 pm on Sunday. Three posts repeat a store note that dine-in ends 30 minutes before closing. Check before you go.
  • Prices mostly agree but a few differ. Seven posts give 25,000 won for the boneless grilled set and one says 26,500. Boneless feet alone are 18,000 won in two posts and 19,500 in one from 16 August; the family set is 41,000 won in March and 39,000 in August. With one post per data point we do not call these price changes. For a sense of a full bill, one group paid 34,000 won for a set, fried shrimp balls and a bottle of soju.
  • Spice comes in three or four levels, but how hot it feels varies. One writer found even the mildest level plenty hot; another found level three not hot at all. One post noted the paper menu shows three levels while the tablet shows four.
  • No post explains how to get there by subway or bus. Posts place it behind the Daiso building, on a corner one crossing from Subway, and two writers walk about ten minutes from home.
  • We know little about waits. Only one post addresses it: no wait at 8:30 pm on a weekday. One post found the tables nearly full on a Thursday evening, and several found it empty early in the evening.
  • Twelve posts give the same phone number, 031-866-4255. No one said whether it takes reservations; one writer phones ahead for takeout.
  • Almost every post puts 'Okjeong restaurant pub' in its title and ends with the same Naver Place link, and several groups share near-identical wording; none discloses sponsorship. The owner's cooking-contest gold medal and chef certificates, and the 'HACCP-certified 100% domestic' line, are the shop's own claims and we did not count them.
