Chuncheongol Dakgalbi Okjeong-jeom

춘천골닭갈비 옥정점 Chuncheongol means 'Chuncheon village' — Chuncheon is the city most associated with dakgalbi, stir-fried spicy chicken; this is the Okjeong branch of a chain whose head shop is in Uijeongbu.

Compiled from 13 blog posts read in fullSources →

The Okjeong branch of a Uijeongbu-based iron-pan dakgalbi chain, on the ground floor of Poly Plaza 5 across from the CGV in Okjeong's central shopping district. Boneless dakgalbi is 15,000 won a serving and the cheese version 17,000; people order two servings, add noodles, and finish with rice they fry themselves (2,500 won). We read 27 posts from March 2025 to October 2026; 14 were about the chain's Deokgye-station branch or its Uijeongbu head shop and were set aside, leaving 13 first-hand visits from March 2025 to September 2026.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. The dakgalbi is fully cooked in the kitchen before it reaches you — six posts say so, one noting about a 15-minute wait for it. Four posts mention that wait; one said it didn't take long. There is still a burner at the table: one post warns to keep the heat low just to keep it warm, and another scorched the pan and was given a fresh one.
  2. Extra side dishes come from a self-serve bar — all 13 visits mention it. Cabbage salad, lettuce, garlic and ssamjang are set on the table; the bar holds chilled seaweed soup, pickled radish wraps, lettuce and hot green chilies. Three posts went back for more of the cabbage salad.
  3. You order from a tablet at the table, according to five posts; one notes that cheese on the side or on half the pan is chosen there too.
  4. Six posts are from repeat visitors. One post says it won't return — because of a server's attitude, not the food; the same post found the owner at the till friendly.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 2 (of 13 posts read)

No one described the entrance step or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. 'Wheelchair accessible entrance' appears only in two copied listings. Two posts note it is on the ground floor.

We don't know whether the toilet is inside the shop. 'Shared toilet in the building' and 'separate men's and women's' are copied listing lines; one post only notes the toilet has a door code.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • Waiting is mixed: two posts walked straight in, one says there can be a queue at dinner, and one says it is busy but not a long-wait place. Nobody recorded how many minutes they waited.
  • No post says how to get here by train or bus — that means nobody wrote about it, not that there is no way.
  • All opening hours are copied from listings. Nine posts give 11:00–22:30, last order 21:30, with a 14:30–16:00 break on weekdays; one September 2026 post says 11:00–23:00, and one lists the break as daily. No one mentions a closing day.
  • Prices held steady across the period (15,000 won dakgalbi, 17,000 cheese, 8,000 makguksu, 2,500 fried rice). Soju and beer at 5,000 won comes from one post; the '2,500 won drinks' in Deokgye-station branch posts belongs to another branch.
  • Several posts list the phone number 0507-1481-9304. One post visited on a Naver reservation; the '60-seat group area' claim is copied listing info.
  • Only one post comments on service: a server just pointed to where the aprons were, then brought aprons to other tables.
