Bistro Jino
비스트로 지노 Biseuteuro Jino Bistro is the French word for a small, casual restaurant; Jino reads as a personal name, and one blogger guessed from the receipt that it echoes the owner's given name.

A Western-style bistro on the second floor of the KB Tower in Okjeong, Yangju, facing Okjeong Lake Park. Most posts order the beef Wellington (61,000 won, booked a day ahead), the classic lasagna (23,000 won) and the scallop-and-shrimp bisque cream pasta (24,000 won); 16 posts ate the lasagna and 11 the Wellington. A rocket salad arrives free when you sit down, and it is used mostly for dinners with wine, often birthdays and anniversaries. We read 30 posts from April 2025 to August 2026, set aside 5 about other businesses, and 23 are records of actual meals.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.
What sets it apart
- Eleven posts went with a booking. Several say the Wellington must be ordered the day before, and one says only two are made a day. One writer watched walk-in diners being refused it; others got it same-day by luck. Leaving a note when booking got a birthday or anniversary message written on the plate.
- Seven posts mention the open kitchen; one says every table can watch the chef cook. One post notes that with a single chef, food takes a while to come out.
- Nine posts mention window seats or the view. Whether you can see the lake splits two to two: some say the lake park lights are clearly visible from the window, others say the lake cannot be seen. None say which window they sat at.
- Eight posts say the cream pasta or lasagna is not heavy; none say it is.
1 more
- Seven posts call the owner and staff kind, describing fruit brought out as they were leaving, house-made ice cream from the chef, and coffee at the end. One post says no one explained the dishes until asked.

Parking
5 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Five posts parked in the building's underground car park and went up. They report three hours free, and one warns the entrance is a little hidden. Parking lines copied from listings were not counted.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
| Second floor | 7 of 23 posts |
|---|---|
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 7 (of 23 posts read) |
| Lift to the floor | 2 of 23 posts |
Seven posts describe climbing to the second floor of the building; none mention a basement. Writers took the lift up from the underground car park, and one notes that from the sports-centre side you enter on B1 and go up. On the floor it sits next to Solravi cafe.
No one wrote about a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or pushchair. Posts confirm a lift to the second floor, but the shop's own entrance is unknown — not absent, just unreported.
No post describes the toilets. A note about separate men's and women's toilets was copied from a listing and not counted; we don't know whether the toilet is inside the restaurant.
No one mentioned: Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 25 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Opening hours change over time. Posts from April to June 2025 describe dinner service (from 17:00, or 15:00, to midnight); November 2025 to February 2026, 12:00-22:00 with a 15:00-18:00 break and a weekday lunch course; March to May 2026, dinner only, 17:00 to midnight. One August 2026 post copied a listing showing 12:00-22:00 again, which is not enough to say lunch is back. Most say Mondays are closed; one says closing days vary. Check before going.
- Portions depend on the dish: three posts call them generous (the Wellington, the free salad), four call them modest (the lasagna, the chop steak).
- Two posts call it on the pricey side and one calls it reasonable. Prices quoted: Wellington 61,000 won, tenderloin 51,000 won, pastas 23,000-24,000 won, lunch course 42,000 won (November 2025). No post gives a total bill.
- Four posts mention coupons: a free-salad coupon from booking on Naver, and a wine stamp card. The stamp threshold differs: a May 2025 post says one stamp per 40,000 won, a March 2026 post thinks 30,000 won; ten stamps earn a bottle.
- No post explains how to get there by train or bus; one writer walked but didn't say from where.
- No one reports queuing. One post saw tables fill with bookings right at six, so how long a walk-in might wait is unknown.
- One regular says they loved the place back when it was in Minrak-dong, before it moved to Okjeong. The move predates every post we read, so we have nothing on the old shop or the date.
- One group brought their own whisky and wine, but the writer didn't know the corkage fee, so whether it is free is unknown.
- Five posts list the phone number 010-8389-3445; most bookings were made through Naver.
- We found no batch of templated promotional posts. Two posts (December 2025, May 2026) speak only of mood and service without dishes or prices, so we leaned on them lightly, and one May 2026 post was written by the owner of another restaurant nearby. The Hilton-trained chef and Blue Ribbon claims are the restaurant's own billing, repeated by bloggers, and were not used as evidence.
