Brunchbean

브런치빈 광명역점 Beureonchibin Gwangmyeongyeok-jeom Brunchbean joins the English words brunch and bean (as in coffee bean) — a brunch chain that serves plates, pasta and coffee from morning to night.

Compiled from 22 blog posts read in fullSources →

A brunch chain branch on the fourth floor of Urban Bricks B (the AK Plaza side), across from Gwangmyeong Station. You order at a kiosk and collect your food when the buzzer goes. Pastas, pilafs and salads mostly run 12,900–13,900 won, and the sampler platter is 19,900 won. Couples tend to take the couple set (32,900 won); groups take the 'brunch instead of rice' set, which is a platter plus two dishes and two drinks. Eight posts ordered that set. We read 29 posts from December 2024 to October 2026. Twenty-three are first-hand meals; the other six are multi-restaurant lists or copied listings. Twelve of the 23 say they paid their own way, and none disclose sponsorship.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.

What sets it apart

  1. Size is what people mention most: 17 of the 23 visits call the room spacious, and 4 note the high ceiling. Posts keep describing a central bed of sand, stones and cacti lit from within, and generous gaps between tables. Two posts mention a separate room or partitioned area.
  2. One wall is almost all glass, and 15 posts mention the windows or the light. From the window seats you see the KTX station and hills in the distance. One post moved away from the window because of the glare, and another found the window seats empty on a very sunny day.
  3. Ordering is by kiosk (12 posts). Grab a table first, order at the kiosk with your buzzer number, and pick up your food when it buzzes. Water, cutlery and sauces are at the self-serve bar, and you return your own dishes. Posts say cash, discounts and local currency go through the counter.
  4. Opinions on speed are split: 3 posts say the food came quickly and 2 say it was slow. One of the slow ones waited 15–20 minutes because everything came out together. The other, in August 2026, had a train to catch, waited 35 minutes after ordering and switched to takeaway. One post notes that cooking starts only once you order.
2 more
  1. Ten posts mention high chairs; one says there were several and all clean, another that they were surprisingly sturdy. Four posts went with children, one with a baby on solids who happily ate the roasted vegetables and chicken.
  2. Four posts call it walkable from the station. Cross toward AK Plaza and take the escalator next to Topten up to the fourth floor; one post warns that the AK Plaza connecting passage is closed. One writer came on village bus 1-1. Against that, one post says the Line 1 Gwangmyeong shuttle runs only once an hour, so they took a taxi from Geumcheon-gu Office station.

Posts saying you can park6 of 22 posts

Six posts parked there. You use the Urban Bricks basement garage (lot C, lines AK05/UB05) and enter your plate number on the tablet near the counter, which gives 2 hours free and up to 4. One post photographs the bay because the garage is a maze, and another found parking a bit of a struggle.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 2 (of 22 posts read)
Lift to the floor1 of 22 posts
Step-free access1 of 22 posts
Toilet insideyes 0 · no 1 (of 22 posts read)

It is on the fourth floor; two posts describe riding the escalator up.

We don't know about wheelchair access. One post found the room roomy enough for a stroller, and one notes a lift near the toilets on the same floor. Nobody mentions whether there is a step at the entrance. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there is no step.

One post places the toilets outside the restaurant, in the building corridor to the left of the escalator. No one says whether they are separated by gender or whether there is an accessible toilet. A list post (not a visit, so not counted) says nursing rooms and changing tables are in AK Plaza, not the restaurant.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 28 posts we gathered, 6 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • We know little about queues. One post walked straight in at 12:30 on a Saturday. A remark that weekend lunches can mean a wait was hearsay, so we didn't count it. Several posts found it quiet after the weekday lunch rush or at 6:30 pm.
  • All the opening hours we have were copied from listings or notices. Ten posts give 09:00–21:00 Sunday to Tuesday and 09:00–22:00 Wednesday to Saturday, and those that note last orders put them an hour before closing. Others give only 21:00 or only 22:00 with no days. One post says it opens at 9:30 with a 15:00–17:00 break, and another lists a weekday 15:00–16:30 break; both may describe another branch. A December 2024 notice in the shop announced the later Wednesday–Saturday closing as a 'dinner extension'.
  • Prices have gone up. The 'brunch instead of rice' set cost 36,900 won in December 2024 and October 2025, and 38,900 won by August 2026. The beef quesadilla went from 10,900 won (December 2024) to 12,900 won (July 2026). The set's base platter is the My Platter up to October 2025 and the Simpler from March 2026. No one calls it expensive, and 12 posts say it is easy on the wallet. The meal totals we have are 71,500 won for five dishes shared by four (August 2026) and 50,750 won for a couple's set plus a panini and bread (December 2024).
  • Many posts copy the phone number 0507-1361-4896. One couple booked six days ahead on Naver for Christmas Eve 2024. The shop's notice at the time (copied, not counted) said weekend bookings are only taken from 5 pm, groups of four or more who book ahead get 10% off, and same-day bookings for year-end parties are not accepted.
  • Two posts look like they came from the same template. The posts of 9 and 15 October 2026 describe the lit cactus bed, the black-and-grey palette and the window view of the station buildings and distant hills in almost identical sentences, and neither says whether it was sponsored. We counted both as visits, but they are hard to treat as two independent accounts. Two other posts give different addresses in their info boxes (Soha-ro 109beon-gil, Seoul Plaza 303; Singi-ro 20, AK Plaza 4F), but every check-in is at Yangji-ro 19, Building B, 4th floor.
