Yeonnam Donkkaseu

연남돈까스 Yeonnam is the name of a Seoul neighbourhood (Yeonnam-dong) and donkkaseu is the Korean word for pork cutlet; several posts point out the shop is in Yangju, not Yeonnam-dong.

Compiled from 25 blog posts read in fullSources →

Yeonnam Donkkaseu is a Japanese-style pork cutlet house in a stand-alone building on Hoecheonnam-ro 317 in Goam-dong, Yangju, on the main road between Deokgye Station and Okjeong new town. The menu centres on cutlet sets with rice, miso soup and soba (loin set 12,000 won, cheese set 14,000 won) and cutlet-plus-noodle combos (16,500 to 21,000 won), ordered and paid for in advance on a tablet at the table. Most writers came with children. We read 30 posts dated 8 January to 18 October 2026; 3 were about other businesses and were set aside, and all 27 remaining posts describe an actual visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. This reads as an easy place to bring children. Twelve posts mention high chairs, and several say staff offered a high chair and children's tableware before being asked, some adding Pororo-printed dishes plus scissors and tongs for cutting the meat. One parent wrote that when the baby cried and she went to step out, the owner told her to stay inside because it was hot.
  2. You order at the table: 14 posts describe ordering and paying on a tablet or kiosk at their seat, often noting that sauces, cups and cutlery sit beside each table so there is no need to call staff.
  3. Twelve posts call the portions large: the jjamppong in the combo was a full bowl, the soba with a set was more than a token mouthful, and one writer found the udon combo too much for one woman.
  4. Four posts say food came quickly, one timing it at about ten minutes; none said it was slow.

  1. Nine posts note an open or half-open kitchen, and nearly every post photographed the meat-ageing fridge by the entrance. Claims like 48-hour cross-ageing and Korean-raised pork are the shop's own signage, so we did not count them.

Parking

Posts saying you can park23 of 25 posts

Parking never shows up as a problem. Of the 25 posts that mention it, 23 parked there themselves, right in front of the door. Only one counted the spaces, at roughly five in front and five along the side, so ten-plus; the figure of 25 to 30 cars in two posts was copied from a listing.

Getting inside

Toilet insideyes 0 · no 2 (of 25 posts read)
Separate restrooms1 of 25 posts

No one described the floor level. The address says ground floor and three posts call it a stand-alone building, but nobody actually wrote about it.

No one mentioned a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller, despite many visits with small children. That is unknown, not absent.

The toilets are outside the dining room: two posts say they are just through the door, and one notes separate men's and women's rooms.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • Seasoning mostly reads as mild: four posts say it was not salty, while one found the udon broth and tenderloin cutlet salty.
  • Only one post describes getting there without a car, saying it is a bit far to walk from Deokgye Station and most people drive; the '500 m from Deokgye Station' line elsewhere is copied directions.
  • No one reported waiting. Two posts mention benches on the front deck for queuing, and two say the lot looks full on weekends but they went on a rainy weekday evening. We don't know what weekend lunch waits are like.
  • No one went alone: 17 posts came with family, mostly children, and 3 with a spouse. Solo dining appears only as a recommendation.
  • Nineteen posts give the same hours, 10:30 to 21:00 with last order at 20:30, all copied from the listing. The day off is disputed: one post (June 2026) says Tuesday, two say no day off, seven say open daily.
  • Prices held steady from March to October 2026: sets 12,000 to 14,000 won, cutlet-plus-noodle combos 16,500 to 21,000 won, with 1,000 won extra for tenderloin. Only the premium loin set differs, 13,000 won in one post and 14,000 in three. Several posts mention a free curry or drink for a receipt review; two actually received it.
  • Fifteen posts list the same phone number, 0507-1443-1890. Phone reservations appear only in copied info blocks; no one wrote that they booked.
  • Two posts, by the same blogger, disclose sponsorship, and one more implies its first visit was comped. Several posts repeat identical directions and figures, suggesting commissioned copy; for these we counted only what the writer actually experienced.
