연태반점 Yeontae is the Korean reading of Yantai, a port city in China's Shandong province, and banjeom is an old word for a Chinese restaurant.

Compiled from 15 blog posts read in fullSources →

A Chinese restaurant on the third floor of Central Bon Tower (the building with Subway and Gong Cha) on Hoecheonjungang-ro, by Deokgye Station in Yangju; a January 2025 post said it had opened the day before. It is a neighborhood place for black-bean noodles, jjamppong and sweet-and-sour pork. You order and pay at the table by tablet or kiosk, and rice and side dishes are free from a self-serve bar. As of September 2026 jjajangmyeon was 8,000 won and ganjjajang and jjamppong 10,000 won; in January 2026 brisket jjamppong was 13,000 won and a small tangsuyuk 15,000 won. We read 16 posts from 25 January 2025 to 16 September 2026; 15 describe eating there, and for the other we could not tell whether the food was eaten in or ordered out.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. You order and pay at the table on a tablet or kiosk; nine posts described this. Two found paying for every extra drink a nuisance, one liked being able to split the bill per person, and one noted that no receipt prints unless you ask.
  2. Rice is free. Seven posts described topping up side dishes at the self-serve bar, where the rice sits in its cooker; several mixed it into leftover jjamppong broth or black-bean sauce. One post said the owner offered to bring refills during a quiet hour.
  3. Write a Naver receipt review and you get fried or boiled dumplings; eight posts mentioned it, and all three who got the fried ones said they came out freshly fried and crisp. Two posts noted you have to ask for a receipt.
  4. Eight posts said portions are large; two compared the jjamppong bowl to a washbasin, and one diner asked whether a plain japchaebap was the large size.
3 more
  1. Seven posts called the room spacious; it is L-shaped, with more seating around the corner. There is a back area for groups, but the January 2025 post said it is not a private room. Seven posts said it was clean.
  2. Six posts were families with children; three saw high chairs, and disposable aprons were noted. Two went with friends, one alone and one as a larger group.
  3. It is walkable from Deokgye Station: one post said about five minutes from Exit 1, another simply said it is close. Three posts walked about ten minutes from home. No one mentioned a bus.

Posts saying you can park2 of 15 posts

The building has an underground car park. One post actually parked there and one other said parking is available. The free time is given as three hours (hearsay), two hours, or free with registration; all of these are copied or second-hand, so we do not rely on them.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 5 (of 15 posts read)
Lift to the floor4 of 15 posts

Four posts said you take the elevator to the third floor and the entrance is on the right; five described it as being upstairs, not in a basement.

No one wrote about a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller; we do not know. We only know there is an elevator to the third floor.

No one said whether the toilet is inside the restaurant. One post's copied info block says the toilets are separated by gender, which we do not count.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 16 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Opinions on the jjajangmyeon split: three posts found it salty, one not, one slightly; three found it sweet, one not. The September 2026 post found it bland and was unsure about returning. Three posts found the tangsuyuk crisp, one did not.
  • No post described waiting. One guessed there might be a wait at dinner, and another found it busy in the evening; that is not evidence either way.
  • Ten posts gave the same hours, 11:00 to 21:00 and closed Mondays, and six gave a last order of 20:30, mostly in copied info blocks. One November 2025 block said Sundays, but the same post's text said Mondays. No one mentioned a mid-afternoon break.
  • Only four posts gave prices. The large jjajangmyeon was 8,000 won in November 2025, while a September 2026 post said 8,000 won plus 1,000 for a large, so it may have gone up; we cannot tell. Tangsuyuk was 15,000 won for a small in January 2026 and 17,000 won (size not stated) in September 2026. No one gave a total for a meal; four posts said prices were reasonable.
  • Three posts gave the phone number 0507-1463-7338 and one gave 010-6746-7337. No one said whether reservations are taken.
  • The restaurant did not deliver at first; a November 2025 post said it now does. That rests on a single post.
