Seonghui Mandu is a handmade-dumpling hot-pot house at the top of a winding residential lane near Deokgye High School in Yangju. The signature is the millefeuille dumpling hot pot, 28,000 won for two: a pot piled with mushrooms and greens comes first, then a separate plate of steamed meat and kimchi dumplings. You order and pay up front on a tablet at the table, and top up side dishes from a self-serve bar. Several posts say the owner opened it after the dumplings at his pub, Seonghui Pocha, became popular. We read 30 posts from 29 December 2025 to 20 October 2026; 28 describe an actual visit. Posts up to March 2026 give the same hot pot as 26,000 won.

What sets it apart
- Of the 28 visit posts, 25 mention the self-serve bar and free refills. About six side dishes are set on the table; the bar holds extras that never reach the table — steamed egg, soy-braised quail eggs, fish-cake stir-fry, fruit salad — plus a kettle of extra broth. Several posts advise checking the bar first for that reason. Two noticed the selection changes from visit to visit.
- Seventeen posts say the kimchi dumplings are hot — too hot for anyone who can't take spice, one said; another described going red from face to ears. Posts written with children ordered meat dumplings only. One post differs: the writer felt no heat at all, though her husband did. You can choose meat, kimchi or half-and-half.
- Fourteen posts ordered and paid in advance on a tablet at the table. One post said every diner from primary-school age up must order a dish.
- Twelve posts mention free plum tea and sweet rice drink to help yourself to on the way out; one found the plum tea too sweet. Some posts mention popcorn, candy floss or sweets handed to children.

Nineteen posts confirm parking: the forecourt is the restaurant's own lot. Two posts estimated its size themselves — one said ten cars fit comfortably with double-parking beyond that and no marked bays, the other guessed up to twenty. One lunchtime post found it full, with an attendant waving cars to the roadside. The 'up to 20 cars free' line in several posts is copied from the restaurant's own listing, so we did not count it.

Getting inside
No post describes which floor the dining room is on or whether there is a basement or upstairs seating. All we have is '1F' in the address and one post saying the floor above is a home. That means nobody wrote about it, not that it isn't there.
No post says whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or pushchair gets in. Four posts came with children, but none mentions a pushchair. Several note the restaurant sits up a slope at the end of a lane.
No post says where the toilets are or whether they are separate for men and women. We don't know.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 30 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- The price has gone up. Three posts up to March 2026 give the millefeuille hot pot for two as 26,000 won; nine posts from an early-summer visit through October 2026 give 28,000 won. All three posts that called the prices kind date from March 2026 or earlier. One August 2026 post wondered whether 16,000 won for eight bibim dumplings was steep, then decided it was fair. Two people with a hot pot and a side would land a little over 40,000 won, but no post gave a receipt total.
- Three posts found the mild broth ordinary; one couple who prefer bold flavours said they probably won't return. More posts liked it for exactly that mildness.
- One post waited: about ten minutes around noon on a Sunday, three groups ahead, names written in a yellow ledger at the counter. Another arriving around 12:50 found the room full but got a table as one freed up. One post never waited on weekdays and heard weekends are busier; it also mentioned waiting seats. Several posts arrived at the 11:00 opening and were the first in.
- Only one post went by public transport: 1.6 km from Deokgye Station, or a bus ride followed by a 600 m walk. That post and two others say a car is the easier way. The '10 minutes on foot from Deokgye Station' line in several posts is copied from the restaurant's own listing, so we did not count it.
- Most posts give the same hours — 11:00 to 22:00, break 15:00 to 16:00, closed Mondays — but nearly all copy them from an info block. One post alone says the weekend break runs to 17:00. Posts also mention one-off closures for a summer holiday (17–19 August) and Chuseok, so check around holidays.
- Several posts give the same phone number, 0507-1302-8562. One post booked ahead and found the table already set; another phoned half an hour before the afternoon break and was told to come. Several posts reuse the restaurant's own listing text (10 minutes from the station, parking for 20); we did not treat that text as evidence.
