Sangnok Hoegwan's Deokgye branch, at 40 Deokgye-ro in Yangju, grills meat over coal briquettes. Pork is sold by the 100 g (belly and neck 5,900 won), a 600 g mixed pork platter is 36,000 won, and there are scallops and steamed oysters too. Since late October 2025 it opens at 11:00 and serves a lunch menu — oyster rice soup (9,800 won), pork rice soup, a marinated rib set (12,800 won). It has a play room and a small animal area with chickens, ducks, rabbits and turtles, and seven of the ten visits we read were family outings. We read 30 posts from August 2025 to September 2026; 10, from August 2025 to January 2026, describe actually eating at this branch. Twelve posts about the chain's Mansong branch (3 Gosam-ro) are a different restaurant and were not counted.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Six posts say they saw the animals themselves — chickens, ducks, rabbits, turtles (big and small kept apart), and one mentions sometimes feeding them with the owner. A November visitor found the rabbits gone inside for the cold, having seen fish and a parrot in summer.
- Seven posts mention the play room. Up to November 2025 it was in its original spot; a late-December post says a discount mart took that space and the play room moved inside the vinyl greenhouse, now with a small trampoline and a tent, though 'not big'. Three posts mention arcade machines; one found a button missing and couldn't start a game.
- Six posts describe side dishes set out first, with refills from a self-serve bar of lettuce, kimchi, onions, pickles and pineapple. Two note that the radish salad and dressed lettuce aren't on the bar and must be asked for; one asked for more mustard-leaf kimchi and got dressed lettuce instead.
- Three posts call it cheap and none call it expensive: 400 g of pork belly for 23,600 won for a parent and child, pork soup, noodles, boiled pork and corn cheese for a family of four 'in the 30,000s', and three lunch rib sets for 38,400 won.

- Seven of the ten visits were with family (five brought children); two were couples.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
| Toilet inside | 2 of 10 posts |
|---|
No post says which floor the restaurant is on or mentions stairs — not that there are none, just that nobody wrote about it.
No one describes the entrance step or going in with a wheelchair or stroller. One post copies the listing's 'wheelchair accessible entrance and seating', which we did not count.
Two posts say the toilet is inside the restaurant. Separate men's and women's toilets appear only in copied listing text, which we did not count; nobody mentions size or an accessible toilet.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 17 posts we gathered, 7 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
| 2026-01-31 | 3 posts in one day |
|---|
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Only one post mentions a wait: nearly full on a weekend evening, with later arrivals queuing, and a tip to come around 5:30. The rest say nothing either way.
- Four posts give hours: all say it opens at 11:00 and closes on Tuesdays. Three say it closes at 23:00 (last order 22:30), one says 22:30 (last order 22:00); the weekday break is 15:00-16:30 in two posts and 15:00-16:00 in one, with no break at weekends according to two. An August 2025 post had weekday opening at 15:00, before lunch service began.
- Some prices differ between posts from the same months: cheese scallops 18,000 vs 15,000 won, seafood ramyeon 10,000 vs 11,000 won, post-grill cold noodles 4,500 vs 5,500 won. We can't tell whether prices changed or were mistyped.
- The directions from Deokgye Station exit 2 past the apartment blocks to the church are copied text; no post describes arriving by subway or bus. One family lived close enough to come by bike and scooter; others drove.
- Five posts give the same phone number, 0507-1351-9168. Reservations appear only in copied listing text; no one says they booked by phone, though one suggests booking ahead for the two tables overlooking the play room.
- Twelve of the 30 posts filed under this name are about the chain's Mansong branch (3 Gosam-ro), four of them identical commissioned templates. Mansong's upstairs private rooms, big play room and 13:00 opening do not describe this Deokgye branch.
