CUGINI

쿠지니 Kujini Cugini is Italian for 'cousins' — the place is run by two cousins, an older sister-cousin and a younger cousin.

Compiled from 29 blog posts read in fullSources →

Cugini is a Neapolitan wood-fired pizza and pasta place in the Daegwang Rosebian The Central apartment arcade near Deokgye Station, Yangju. Pizzas run from 15,000 won for the margherita fior di latte to the mid-20,000s, and the half-and-half — half margherita, half your pick — is 18,000 won. The most-ordered dishes were the pane bread-bowl pasta (8 posts) and the half-and-half pizza (7). Several posts describe scanning a QR code at the table for the menu and writing the order on paper. We read 30 posts from December 2024 to October 2026; 29 were first-hand visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. This is a place people book. Nine posts say they reserved. One tried booking the day before and found only the 11 a.m. slot left. The no-same-day-booking rule is copied from the shop's notice.
  2. Three posts walked in without a reservation and were seated at once, each adding that the room filled right after — one got the last four-top at Saturday lunch. One post warns you'll wait if you come a bit late, though they themselves walked straight in.
  3. It is small. Ten posts said so, putting the count at four to six tables (one counted three square and three round). One post says two four-tops can be pushed together for eight.
  4. Some dishes are spicy. Eight posts said so — five about cream pastas like the crema and gamberi cream, the rest about the diavola pizza and rosso pasta. One notes the crema's heat can't be adjusted.
4 more
  1. There is some provision for children: two posts saw high chairs and two saw pizza coloring sheets and crayons by the wall. One post calls it explicitly kid-friendly.
  2. Many return. Seven posts describe repeat visits — one in January and again in March, one who came back the next week after pizza sold out, one who goes about every two months.
  3. Six posts got a free ade, soda or a bottle of anchovy oil for leaving a receipt review.
  4. Five posts found the staff kind — one owner brought a magnifying glass when a grandfather couldn't read the menu, another seated guests away from a cold window on a rainy day.

Posts saying you cannot3 of 29 posts

Assume no parking of its own. All three posts that came by car parked at the public lot or on nearby vacant ground or a side street — one found the public lot full, another found it empty on a weekend. Two posts mention the arcade's lot, but neither says they parked there.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 4 (of 29 posts read)

It is at street level: four posts say it is on the ground floor of the arcade.

No one mentioned a step at the entrance or getting in with a stroller or wheelchair. That means we don't know, not that there is a problem.

No one said whether the restroom is inside the restaurant. Separate men's and women's restrooms appear only in one copied info block, which we don't count.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 30 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • When the dough runs out, so does pizza. One post arrived around 2:30 p.m. on a Sunday to find pizza sold out; another was limited to two pizzas even though it wasn't late.
  • Prices have gone up. The margherita bufala was 16,000 won through the May 2026 menu and 18,000 in October 2026; the pomodorini went from 17,000 to 19,000 by September 2026; the diavola from 19,000 (April 2025) to 22,000 (May 2026). The two posts calling it cheap date from before these rises. A pizza, a pasta and a drink for two comes to around 40,000 won.
  • Weekend hours shortened between spring and summer 2025: posts from March–April 2025 list weekends until 9 p.m. (last order 8:10), while posts from July 2025 on list Saturday–Sunday 11:00–19:00, last order 18:00. Weekdays are consistently 11:00–21:00 with a 15:00–16:30 break, closed Tuesdays; 2026 posts add a 14:00 lunch last order. One post says no closing day and another adds the last Monday of the month. All of this is copied from the shop's notice.
  • Only one post said first-hand it is a five-minute walk from Deokgye Station; the '457 m from exit 1' figures elsewhere are copied from maps. No one came by bus.
  • The phone number 0507-1401-1651 appears consistently. Most bookings were made through Naver; one post reserved by phone, and another called ahead after once finding the shop unexpectedly closed.
  • Nine posts say they paid their own way; the other twenty don't say. None disclose sponsorship. The Neapolitan pizza association membership, 48-hour dough fermentation and the cousins-run story are the shop's own claims, repeated by bloggers.
