Kkodeuldang

꼬들당 Kkodeul comes from kkodeul-kkodeul, the firm, springy chew that the house's signature cut, kkodeulsal, is named for; dang means a hall or house.

Compiled from 10 blog posts read in fullSources →

A charcoal-grill place near Deokgye Station that serves three pork specialty cuts: kkodeulsal, odolgalbi and ppolhangjeong. A 500 g board is 35,000 won, and the 2–3 person set of all three cuts with soybean-paste stew is 56,000 won. Neither price changed over the period the posts cover. Staff bring live charcoal to the table and you grill the meat yourself. Five posts say that even if you order one bottle, it arrives with several more in a bucket of ice, and you pay only for what you drink. This is a second branch of a Kkodeuldang that was already in Deokjeong. We read 12 posts from December 2024 to September 2026. Ten were written after a visit; one is a line in a gift-voucher merchant list, and one reads like a visit but we did not count it.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Three posts say the portions are generous. One couple ate until they were stuffed and paid under 50,000 won; another post says two adults and a child were full on the three-person set. A pair who had 500 g of kkodeulsal, rice in stew and a cola for 43,000 won called the amount just right. Three posts also say the prices are not high.
  2. Two posts mention a self-service bar for side dishes. One went back to it two or three times; the other noted that the fresh kimchi isn't on the bar and has to be requested. Nine posts mention the steamed egg, which comes free without ordering.
  3. Posts split one to one on whether it gets greasy. One said kkodeulsal turns a little heavy after a few pieces unless you eat it with anchovy sauce or pickled onion; a post from someone who has been more than twenty times said it isn't greasy at all.

Parking

2 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park2 of 10 posts

Two posts say you can use the underground car park in the building, entered from the back. A third post's line saying parking is available was copied from a listing, so we didn't count it. One post says it's a three-minute walk from exit 1 of Deokgye Station, next to a Subway.

Where it is

Map showing where Kkodeuldang is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

1 posts say it is walkable from the station.

Getting inside

Nobody described what floor it's on. The only clue is the unit number 106 in the address; nobody mentioned any stairs.

No post says whether there's a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. That doesn't mean there's a problem, only that nobody wrote about it.

No post says whether the restroom is inside the restaurant or whether it's separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 12 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • One post mentions waiting: they arrived around 5:30 p.m. on a Friday and got a table, then the room filled and a queue formed. Two posts mention a waiting list at the door or inside. Posts from visits at 6:30 p.m. on a weekday, 9:30 p.m. on a Wednesday and 4:30 p.m. on a weekend don't mention waiting. One post recommends booking ahead, but nobody wrote about actually making a reservation.
  • What posts say about outdoor seating depends on when they were written. In May 2025 a post said they'd return once the outdoor area opened; in April 2026 another noticed outdoor tables. Nobody wrote about sitting out there.
  • People came with a range of company: two posts were groups of friends or coworkers, one was a couple, and one was a family dinner with a young daughter. That's the only post with a child, and nobody said whether there are high chairs.
  • Six posts give the same opening hours, 4 to 11 p.m. daily with last orders at 10:30, but all of them copied that from a listing. Only one post speaks from experience, saying the writer often came late because it stays open until 11. Nobody mentioned a day it closes.
  • The only prices posts gave are 35,000 won for 500 g, 56,000 won for the 2–3 person set and 6,000 won for rice in stew. Nobody gave prices for the 3–4 person set, the sides or drinks. An August 2026 post said beef rib had recently been added to the menu but didn't give a price.
  • Four posts give the same phone number, 0507-1434-8039, all copied from a listing. Nobody wrote about calling to make a reservation.
