Jinseon Sogogi Gukbap Hoecheon Jikyeongjeom

진선소고기국밥 회천직영점 Jinseon is a proper name the posts never explain; sogogi gukbap is beef soup served with rice, and Hoecheon jikyeongjeom marks the company-run Hoecheon branch.

Compiled from 17 blog posts read in fullSources →

A 24-hour gukbap house at 217 Hoecheonjungang-ro in Deokgye-dong, Yangju. The signature is a spicy-looking red beef soup; many diners pair it with a one-person soup-and-cutlet set, or add bone-broth gomtang, knee-cartilage soup and a rolled omelette. Going by posts from January 2026 on, the beef soup costs 11,000 won and the soup-and-cutlet set 15,000 won. We read 30 posts dated from 9 November 2024 to 4 October 2026; 17 describe an actual meal here. We set aside 3 posts about the Dasan Station branch in Namyangju and 6 posts about other shops that only linked to or mentioned this one.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. For a soup house, the pork cutlet gets a lot of attention. Eight posts say the coating was crisp, and one says it stayed crisp to the last bite. One post got two cutlets on the plate; another found the meat on the thin side.
  2. The bone-broth gomtang and the knee-cartilage soup come unseasoned. Six posts found them bland or unsalted and added salt at the table; one warns to go easy with the coarse salt. Going the other way, one post found the soup too salty on both of two visits and thinned it with water.
  3. Eight posts say the portions are big. One diner who ordered the large size wrote that the regular would be plenty next time. Another left it unresolved, saying the knee-cartilage soup was small for its price while the omelette was huge.
  4. The side dishes are cabbage kimchi (sometimes fresh geotjeori), radish kimchi and hot green chillies; five posts say refills come from a self-serve corner.
2 more
  1. Five posts describe the dining room as roomy; one also calls it clean.
  2. Five posts come from repeat visitors — one had been there the day before, another calls it a regular spot, a third had been twice.

Parking

Posts saying you can park1 of 17 posts

Only one post describes parking firsthand: on the street behind the restaurant. Lines about a private lot behind the building or a nearby empty lot are copied listing text, so we did not count them. We don't know how many cars fit.

Getting inside

Toilet insideyes 0 · no 1 (of 17 posts read)

No post describes which floor the restaurant is on from experience; the address says part of the ground floor, but nobody confirms it.

No post says whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or pushchair gets in — that means nobody wrote about it, not that access is impossible. Two posts saw high chairs for babies.

One post says the toilet is outside the dining room, just through the back door, and you need to take a key card. The claim of separate men's and women's toilets appears only in copied listing text, so we did not count it.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 21 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Whether the broth is spicy splits three to two: three posts found it hot, two said it was punchy but not really spicy.
  • Prices have gone up twice. The beef soup was 9,500 won in a November 2024 post, 10,000 won in August and December 2025, and 11,000 won from January 2026. The soup-and-cutlet set was 14,000 won in June and December 2025 and 15,000 won in February and August 2026. No post calls the place expensive; four say it is good value, and one felt the knee-cartilage soup fell short for its price.
  • Two posts say it is a ten-minute walk from exit 1 of Deokgye Station, but as a location note, not as a walk anyone describes, so we did not count it. Nobody mentions arriving by bus either.
  • No post describes queueing. Some note the place was busy late at night or at lunch, but none say they waited. One post saw chairs outside for people waiting.
  • Who people came with is evenly spread: two with family, two with friends, two with a spouse or partner, one alone; the rest don't say.
  • Thirteen posts give the hours as 24 hours, every day of the year. Two of them, from August and September 2026, add that it closes at 9 p.m. on Sundays — one from copied listing text, one from hearsay. Nobody says when it reopens after a Sunday close.
  • Several posts give the same phone number, 031-868-3158. Nobody says whether it takes reservations.
  • We don't know whether local-currency cards are accepted. One November 2024 post says it was told a certain card used to work but no longer does, and it is unclear which card was meant.
