Ilpum Ppyeohaejangguk
일품뼈해장국 Ilpum means 'first-rate' or 'the finest of its kind'; ppyeo-haejangguk is the pork-bone soup the house is named for.

A pork-bone soup and blood-sausage soup house on the ground floor of a white building at 376 Hoecheonnam-ro, Deokgye-dong, Yangju. It opened in January 2026. On the wall menu in a September 2026 post, sundaeguk was 10,000 won, the large version 12,000 won and ppyeohaejangguk 11,000 won. Five posts said that instead of bowls of rice, staff bring a pressure cooker to the table and scoop it there, as much or as little as you ask. Scorched-rice porridge arrives near the end of the meal. We read 16 posts dated 28 January to 23 September 2026. We set aside one that was about the previous restaurant on this site, which leaves 13 visits. Eight posts share the same promotional wording.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Six posts said portions were large. In the bone soup, three posts counted three bones and one counted two and a half. One wrote that most places give two and this one gives three. One left food unfinished, and another passed a bone to her husband.
- Kimchi and radish kimchi are refilled from a self-serve bar. Four posts said so, and one went back three times. Others noted onions, chillies, dipping paste, disposable aprons and plastic gloves at the bar.

Parking is the most repeated point. Of 13 visits, 11 said the lot in front was easy. Three described its size, one noting plenty of space at dinner even with a fair crowd inside, and a self-described novice driver found it easy too.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 2 (of 13 posts read) |
|---|---|
| Toilet inside | yes 0 · no 1 (of 13 posts read) |
We don't know whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or pushchair can get in. Two posts mention the ground floor, nothing more. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there is no barrier.
One January 2026 post said the toilet is outside, in a separate spot. Another guessed it was inside without going, so that settles nothing. Separate men's and women's toilets appear only in a copied info block.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 15 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- No post describes arriving by train or bus. The promotional posts say Deokgye Station and a bus stop are close, and one copied a 552 m distance from exit 2. The first-hand posts came by car; one called it about five minutes' drive from the station.
- No post mentions waiting. One January 2026 lunch post found the room full, but did not say it waited, and its bone soup came in under five minutes.
- Seven posts came by car, two with family and one alone. None mentioned friends. The promotional lines recommending it for family meals and groups are suggestions, not visits, and we did not count them.
- Opening hours seem to have changed. Four posts from February to March 2026 gave 10:00 to 22:00 daily, with last orders at 21:30. A copied info block in a September 2026 post says Monday to Saturday 10:00 to 21:00, closed Sundays. Promotional posts up to July said it never closes. Only that one September post supports the current hours.
- Only two posts gave prices. The bone soup was 10,000 won in February 2026 and 11,000 won on the menu in September, which looks like a rise, but it rests on those two posts alone. Nobody gave hot-pot prices. One post said prices felt reasonable.
- The phone number 031-868-0351 appears in two posts, one in a copied info block and one in a footer. Group bookings are mentioned only in promotional copy; no post describes actually booking.
- Eight posts (February to July 2026) carry the same review-count widget and repeat the same lines in the same order: a hall of nearly 100 seats, kimchi made fresh daily, open every day. None discloses payment. We treated those lines as the restaurant's own copy and counted only what the writers say they ordered or saw, such as parking.
- Three posts say this site was a grilled-fish place and then a sausage-soup shop (Bonrae Sundae) before Ilpum opened in January 2026. We did not count a November 2025 post about Bonrae Sundae because it is a different restaurant.
