Honghwa Jjamppong
홍화짬뽕 Jjamppong is the spicy seafood noodle soup the house is named for; none of the posts explain what 'Honghwa' stands for.

A jjamppong-focused Chinese-Korean restaurant on the ground floor of a building by the Godeok ballpark entrance, 185 Godeok-ro, Deokgye-dong, Yangju. People come for brisket jjamppong (12,000 won), mixed-seafood jjamppong (14,000 won), ganjjajang and a small glutinous-rice sweet-and-sour pork (13,000 won); four posts say they knew it from delivery first. We read 16 posts from November 2024 to October 2026; 15 describe eating in, one is a delivery meal at home.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Ten posts mention a self-serve bar for more pickled radish, onion and kimchi. One says the first round is brought to the table and refills are self-serve after that; two place the bar in the middle of the room. One parent noted that small plates, scissors and tongs are there too, so there was no need to ask for them.
- Eight posts call the room large. One describes the hall as split between a raised platform and the floor below, and two mention generous spacing between tables. Five posts say it was clean.
- Five posts say the portions are large: one had to dig through the seafood to reach the noodles, another found even the mini sweet-and-sour pork too much for two, and one spent about five minutes shelling mussels.

Parking
7 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Seven posts describe parking from experience: lots in front and behind, plenty of spaces beside the building, no payment needed. One of them adds that unless you drive, it is really only reachable for people living nearby.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

0 posts say it is walkable from the station.
Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 1 (of 14 posts read) |
|---|
Only one post mentions the floor, saying it sits on the ground floor of the building; other mentions of the ground floor are just the address.
We don't know whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in — not because there isn't, but because no post said.
We don't know whether the toilet is inside the restaurant. Separate men's and women's toilets appear only in two copied info blocks; no one described them firsthand.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 15 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Posts disagree on heat: one found it properly spicy, one said it is not very hot and recommends the chili version, and one called it a gentle heat even a spice-averse eater could finish.
- Prices have moved: ganjjajang was 8,000 won in three posts from November 2024 to February 2025 and 9,000 won in July 2025. Three posts call the prices fair; only the delivery post found them steep. After July 2025 the only jjamppong price recorded is 14,000 won for the mixed-seafood one.
- Only one post waited: about 5 to 10 minutes at noon, with food arriving about 10 minutes after ordering. Another arrived near opening to an empty room that filled up toward lunch.
- No one described getting there by bus or train. The note about 15 minutes by public transport from Deokgye Station exit 2 is a copied info block; one post says it is really only for drivers or nearby residents, and one couple walked from home.
- Thirteen posts agree on opening hours of 10:00 to 20:00, and twelve of them say it is closed on Mondays. Four give last orders at 19:40; one from July 2026 says 19:30. One November 2024 post alone says Sundays close at 19:30. All but one of these are copied info blocks.
- Six posts give the same phone number, 0507-1370-0387. Reservations appear only in copied info blocks; no one wrote about booking ahead.
- No post discloses sponsorship. Seven say they paid their own way, and one is a city-run social media supporters' post covering two restaurants. Four mention a receipt-review event that earns a free soft drink.
